I need to replace my timing belt. Anyone know of any shops in the West Metro Denver area that are affordable and provide a good service? Otherwise, is there anyone in the Lakewood/Golden area that would be willing to help me with this?

Sorry dude. If you were down in my neck of the woods, I'd give you my mechanic's number since he did my whole timing belt kit back in May. I know there are quite a few Xterra owners around you, and I want to say they even have their own Xterra owners site for Colorado.

Good idea, I'll check with NORAC. I posted on Roninwheelers and had a guy lined up, but the admins kicked him off for not being a "Supported Vendor".

I'm replacing the timing belt before I sell it so whoever buys it doesn't have to worry about anything.

Damn, that's mighty good on you for doing that. Unfortunately other past sellers aren't always as polite and typically dump their Xterra right as major maintenance comes up

People from NORAC suggested going to a dealership that looks out for the group. $535 for labor alone wasn't worth it so I walked. I may just give in and do it myself or trade it in for a truck without dealing with it.

Once you have the kit, you can rent an air compressor for $40 a day from Home Depot, and you can buy a 1/2" air impact and 27mm socket for not too much.
