Timbren SES works great!

Hey I just wanted to report an update. My Xterra is now being used to haul motorcycles with a hitch carrier and tow the family boat. I posted earlier and asked for suggestions to improve control with significant tongue weight. Of the choices I went with the Timbren system and I have to say I am very impressed that such a simple system can make such a dramatic improvement. The truck now handles the tongue weight of the motorcycle carrier like it's not even there, and bouncing and swaying has been eliminated when towing over bumps.

Installation was technically easy (3 bolts each side), but it was a bit tedious getting the springs perfectly lined up with the axle.

The unloaded ride seems largely unaffected, but you do feel the stiffness if you hit a big bump at speed. I can put up with that for the added towing and hauling control.

Glad to hear it, those were the 1st suspension mod (along with an AAL) that I did to my X and I remember similar results. If you ever end up lifting it you'll get rid of that impact you feel at high speed over large bumps.
