After seeing Ratt's photos and Xterramikes photo's on Facebook I really fell in love lol...I think its so cool!
So share your tilt shift pics!!
Here are some I just did.
Not the best but I found it works best with photos where your X is already small, not close ups...
All these photo's where snapped by me!

Thats really cool haha. It looks like Xterraforce is pulling them downhill though. Why?

I think my camera was tilted that way...thats the mud hole at woolys, the cart was stuck and xterraforce pulled the guy out.
That guy on the go cart or whatever kinda throws the pic off...I don't know why it didn't re-size him.

Edit: Ratt post your pics up! They are a lot better!!

Or one could use a really small f-stop, focused on your focal point to get the desired effect.

I want a digital SLR really bad.

Off to eBay to drool. <sigh>

I've got a nice new DSLR and I've JUST now found the photoshop that came with it. Next purchase on my list for it is a lens with a small f-stop for sure.

I hope you've got your credit card ready fast glass is alway more expensive than the slower pieces. That little 50mm you posted is the fastest one I've got and for the price it's great but if you really want good stuff it's going to cost ya.
Photography is just as bad as building an xterra. Everything good cost more than you think it really should. And I the same respect you as long as you take care of it you can probably sell it for almost what you paid. In some cases.

And the tilt lens is waaaayyy expensive.

Yes! Way expensive. I don't think I'd ever buy one it's just not practice for day to day use for me. Im still looking to by one of the 70-200L lenses and that's anywhere from 600-1200 bucks depending on what I want. Ugh why do I pick expensive hobbies

see the issue with that website is you can only go horizontal with your tilt shift, I have an app that can do horizontal and vertical or diagonal, that one of your truck would be sweet diagonally.

I hate to say this.. but I just dont get it.. Looks like you blur out the top..

It is just another photo editing thing.. I mean, it is something else other than HDR. Personally I am not a fan of HDR, but I like Tilt-shift.

The point of tilt-shift is to take a picture, distort a few parts, and then make it look different, in this case it makes it look miniature, like a little toy.. but it is just for fun.

It is blurred, but in a very specific way, in order to adjust the plane of focus. And not just the top (background), but also the bottom (foreground). Editing a photo in digital post-production doesn't show the effect nearly as well as actually shooting it that way in the first place, but it does help simulate a miniature object shot in macro.

This article will explain it way better than I ever could.

I have seen one that looked like a mini Xterra.. I guess I need to play with it and see what all this fun is about...
