Found this site for inspiration. http://www.ratrodbikes.com/

Now I just need to find that special bicycle and for cheap with minor repair needed. Hmmm

What kind of theme you going for? I really like the style of the 3rd one, over-sized tires, motorcycle-like forks and the dropped seat.

It would make a good base, it's aluminum so it'd be pretty light. I could always haul it up to NXM2 for ya...lol

Sub'd. That was the route I was gonna go with my BMX, before I had a change of heart and went all fluorescent green and red, haha.

I still want to build a bike in the ratrod style though. I'll definitely be watching this thread...

I dunno if you saw my thread "New Build" in the biking section, but I found a late 1950's to early 1960's cruiser that I'll be building up as a rat rod.

Also, on an unrelated note, PM sent.

Hope you find it man, I've never seen an old bike like this up front and in person before, looking at the way the bike is built is amazing. There are minimal welds on the frame, instead; the bike is built by slipping the tubes over each other and then just stamping them together. It's crazy they're strong enough to stay together, haha.

And yes, I signed up on that forum; there are some amazing builds on there.
