I like Sake. What was wrong with it?
Well, I was ignorant. I thought it was a spirit of sorts, not a "draft beer". It said serve chilled. It wasn't bad but I know of lots of beer that taste better. Once I left it for an hour on the coffee table it wasn't bad at all.

Well, I either came down with strep or have a bad cold. But I have the worst sore throat. So with a lil bit of Jameson, some hot water, honey, and lemon juice, I’m drinking a hot toddy tonight. So soothing.

Lol. I've actually never had alcohol in my life & I'm 29. I drink sparkling water and I ain't ashamed to admit it

Sweet. You have no idea how lucky you are.

I am one of those persons that can go weeks or months without touching alcohol and not miss it. Otherwise, I see family members and many friends abusing alcohol and it shows in terms of poor health outcomes. In the worst case, folks die. By 'folks' I mean people you like die.

The epidemiology of alcohol has been steadily getting worse in recent years with more information and more studies.

I have known dozens if not more 'functional alcoholics' and they can do OK for years and decades at a time but if they don't cut back, it always catches up.

Took a shot of Tito's before bed to loosen up.

I'm still not sure I'm a Scotch fan. Got some Johnny Walker Black Label but I'm on the fence. I don't dislike the smoky peat flavors but I'm not sure I like them. Think I prefer my aged corn liquors better.... WHISKEY.

I remember trying to like smoky Scotch many decades ago because it was cool.

Now I absolutely LOVE smoky bourbon. Best consumed with small sips. Perhaps as with most liquor except perhaps vodka, tequila and gin which are really narcotics dressed up in fancy bottles.

Current bourbon on hand is a new one: Eagle Rare. Decent.

A long time ago, a Swiss buddy and I hitchhiked south from Medellin Colombia to Bogota. Along the way, we were picked up by a couple of young Americans who were working a placer gold mine project owned by an ex-pat Danish man. They invited us in.

That night we sampled some Colombian herb and drank some very strong spirits. Pisco if I recall correctly. At one point we saw a very bright object flash across the sky and then turn and disappear into space. Sure looked like a UFO to me! Probably was a meteorite.

It was a stunning night. The sky sparkled with stars.

Our hosts were very helpful in terms of getting us dialed into Colombian 'reality'. No jewellery. No wrist watches and especially no rings as Colombian thieves were known to hack off hands with a machete in order to leisurely pull the rings off later.

We have darn UFO's in the area. once again. Harvesting items from cattle, not leaving a trace of foot prints, or blood splatter.

Does help with a excuse to stay up late, kick back and sky watch with a cold one. Just have to watch them Dam Buzz tails, they lurk at night.

I don't like drinking campfires.

Bourbon and jäger. That's home.

that’s the problem with scotch. I never cared for ones like JW that everyone would drink. now my SIL had some hundred dollar bottle of (I want to say) glenlivet that was tasty, but I’m not about to go spend that kind of money on my drinking habit.

Flask, was best invention. As with the little canteens. Just make sure you sniff test it, before stuffing in your Pack. Not a Good thing, to have it, when your in a patrol car. and want water.. UGH... Trash can it went!. haha. Did I learn.. NOPE.. Hunting Elk, with good snow falling. Tossed two canteens.. and a few Snacks.. 4 hours later.. take sip!!. UGH.. I was tad Dehydrated back in camp.. But still had my full Canteen.
Now, ALL Flasks are either a Flask for booze only.. Canteen Water.. NO MORE using containers for either one..
