Subie Doobie do !! as the old lady would say ; She's on her 4th one in 22 year's . Pay's it off -drive's for another year-trade's it in .. If it wasn't for the one I totaled , she still be on the 3rd one. Great little car's for her since she's only 5'2" give or take. And NO , no starbucs here. That would be ground's for a visit to the wood chipper !! :confused::cool:

P1446 code this morning. I guess my eBay canister / valve only lasted 2 years?

My advice....

Go buy the OEM, put an extension hose and filter on the end of it (think diff breather mod) run it to the DS tail light....

THEN.... when you inevitably get that code again.....

Take that valve off blow it out with a compressor and then douche it with WD40 (blow it out again)... test it with a 12V battery to make sure it still works, and re assemble (make sure to blow out the canister too).

I've had that code pop up multiple times, and have just been cleaning the canister and the valve and they work just fine.

RARELY do you actually need to replace that valve.

I did reroute the line to the DS tail light last time in addition to cleaning the canister and installing a new valve but couldn't clear the code until I hooked it back up stock. Maybe I pinched the line somewhere. I'll mess with it again and try an OEM valve if the WD40 douche doesn't work.

Not looking forward to fighting with that electrical connection to the EVAP canister again!

Morning.....

Coffee and pancakes had.

Gotta buy an oil filter for the X and going to pickup a used Snap-On brake spring tool. Popped up locally for too good a deal to pass up.

Then I gotta get some shiat done so I can go wheeling tomorrow. Gonna bring the eldest's boyfriend with us. He's never done anything like this before, not that PMR is hard-core stuff. Should be interesting....

Ugh. I need to buy a house. I have been dreading this shiat. I love where I live, i love my neighborhood and my neighbors, but Im tired of renting. Even though my rental is stupid cheap, my landlord loves me and Im a super short bike ride/walk from all the downtown pubs/events. I cant afford a house in this neighborhood, and i wish i could afford a large place out aways with a shop and i cant. unless i live way away from civilization where the internet sucks. And i dont wanna, im spoiled by fiber. So that means i can live in a decent, yet close quartered neighborhood in the city, or way out.

meh.

More of a general bitch currently. Carry on.

If the landlord loves you so much why don't you try and work out a rent-to-own situation on the house you're in now?
