Lower gears? I wondered about that recently. Adding a steel bumper, skids and several pieces of armor plus when loaded up for camping, I wonder how sluggish she'll be. I've only got 2k miles on the 265/75s and wanna go bigger (285) there too..

Hmm

Then a Maxterra rear bump n tire carrier. Damn, that's why yall only get 10mpg.. It's all making sense now haha~

and a couple hours from now I was on a fully loaded Boeing 757 headed luckily to the west coast. We were about 1/2hr away from SEATAC when the plane made a slow 180°.

The pilot announced overhead that he wanted to assure us nothing was wrong with our aircraft and not to worry but due to cpu problems all flights were ordered back to their departing destinations. We were all initially upset..

Cell phones were a new thing then, no smartshiat, and by the time we were back in DFW the rumors that our Pentagon had been bombed and NYC was under missle attacks. We were at war.

We were in the air about 9hrs on a 3.5hr flight and once on the ground we sat for another 2.5hrs till we could get a gate to unload.

Once off the plane we were all shocked by what allwe saw on the tv monitors everywhere. It's a day I'll always remember like yesterday.

How can I tell what gearing I have without opening it up? Maybe the vin? I've been wanting to find out what all components came stock as it's got 211k miles so I know its had to have had some replacement parts in it but I got no records whatsoever upon purchase. It's pretty clean underneath so I cant tell if cats are original, shocks etc.

The sticker in the door should have a line that says AXLE with HG## nearby. Those numbers are your ratio. HG33 means 3.3 gears.

Now, it's been a hot minute since I've had an x, and it was a 1.0, so this is from memory.

It is on the door sticker. I'll look at mine when I leave for work. I remember where it is on the 1st gen, but I can't say I've ever payed attention to it on this one.

Well that's terrifying.

I was working at Norfolk Naval Base at the time. I was a software developer for the Joint Forces Staff College on base. I was sitting at my desk. Hating my cubicle when my phone rang. It was my mom. She asked if we had TVs at the office. I told her that we did and she said I needed to go find one right now. No other information. She just hung up.

So I walked over to the wargame classrooms where all the media stuff was and I walked into one where the news was playing on a 140" projection screen. I walked into the room just as the 2nd plane hit. At the point where we knew it was no longer an accident.

5 or 6 of us sat there in that room and watched it for the next few hours. As the news reported that we were under attack. That the pentagon had been hit. That the 4th plane crashed in Pennsylvania. Then it occurred to me.

I was in the middle of the largest naval base on the planet. And our country was under attack. Suddenly I felt like going home.

I'm on 35s, steel bumpers, all steel skid plates, with stock gears. She's not fast. But she does just fine.

It amazing to hear stories from people about where they were on 9/11. I was in 3rd grade and it's honestly one of the few exact memories I have from being young where I can remember everything.

I was too young to realize what was going on but one by one my classmates were pulled out of class. My parents worked 30 min from the school so I was one of the last ones picked up. I just rem errands watching the news that night and how it all unfolded and my parents telling at me to turn it off cuz I was too young to be watching

Was freshman at Saint Francis University, PA. I remember waking up, turning on the news right as the reports were coming in from the first plane. Watched the second come in. All classes were canceled for the day and we all just stayed in and watched the news all day.

I was in grade 12, had the tv on while I was getting ready for school. Was listening to the reports of the first plane hitting and the speculations that were going on as to what happened. Then watching the second plane hit. Definitely will always remember that.

I was a senior in high school and was running a lathe in machine shop. I was making a fly wheel for a steam engine we were building in class. Mr Dalton put his hand on my shoulder and said I needed to come watch this. That was when I noticed I was the only one in the shop.

I sat down in front of the TV, saw the one tower smoking and they were speculating about what was going on.

I didn't know what to think.

The following hours an day's.. Looking up at the sky.. No air-crafts!! no con trails. Few Deep-throated Engine roars.. ( Fighters.. the sound of 100% POWER! ). No contrails from them.. But they were on alert Patrols.

They awoke the dragon!. We stomped them into the mud. and Gave the Leader Goat herder a Cranium Venting hole!...

I was on a grade 10 field trip. The one AV nerd in my class pulled me aside and showed me a hidden TV with the news on it. Couldn’t believe it. Sure as hell was real still when 3 years later I started basic training and in 2010 ended going to Afghanistan.

Had “poppa robs” spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove for the past few hours. (That’s what my daughter calls it)

Garden fresh tomatoes, garlic and all the herbs.... yes my garden.

Can’t wait to eat it.
