So you took a 12v power wheels and put a 24v battery in it? Do you have to change the motor?

What's the spec on the Yamaha?

My oldest has a 6 volt BMW motorcycle ( with training wheels) unfortunately the 6volt isn’t really fast enough for him

Just used two 12V backup batteries in series. No need to change anything else.

Yamaha is a 80cc Raptor from the early 2000s. It sat for years at my Dad's when the girls were too little for it and the carb gummed up and it took me a lot of time to get it cleaned up and figure out what the issue was.

It's running great now though. Need to disassemble the front of it and check the air filter and change the plug now that it's run for a while.

Need to find a battery small enough to do that. It’s a very small compartment

Office life does suck. I'm glad I get to spend a few days out in the field this week.

If there's a Batteries + Bulbs near you, they have a TON of little 12v batteries in stock for things like UPS backups and exit lights. You should be able to find something there.

I'm glad I don't work in an office, my attention span is too short. I like my job, I just hate who I work for.

A piece of advice I give to the single, childless guys who start working at the mill and go looking to buy a new truck is always "buy a truck that will still work for you when you have three kids and a wife." They usually start looking at standard cab 3/4 ton trucks and want to do a bunch to them like wheels and lifts. I say this because only one of my children were planned. The other two were not.

We put so much time and money into making a vehicle ours but when a kid comes along, lack of planning for the future causes many to let go of vehicles they love to try to accommodate the situation. Many say "never me" then wind up with a mini-van because they bought the 2dr SUV instead of the 4dr. In my case, my 2dr Cherokee didn't suit my needs so I sold so many good parts at a loss because I just needed to move on to a larger vehicle and a 15 year old vehicle with a quarter million miles on it isn't worth much. But when I went truck shopping, my wife kept reminding me and I got the full crew cab instead of the extended cab and I'm very glad I did. It was much easier buckling them in with full doors and now that they can get in or out themselves, I don't have to open my door so they can open theirs.

Anyways, just my experience and advice. Might not be worth what you paid for it but no refunds.

Excellent advice, but I wont be having any kids, and if I did (im not), I'd better not have more than what fits in my truck now haha. I have two buckets and seat three in the rear. When I WAS married, everyone fit fine. 61030376_2294026050663799_5633941488174891008_n.jpg

This is why I bought something with a roof rack :p Keep meaning to strap the niece's car seat up there and put her in it with a motorcycle helmet or goggles or something and just wait for her mom to come out and see it...

I figure the X aughta hold a kid or two, and by the time we get more than that, we are planning on buying the wife her own vehicle. But yes, it pays to plan ahead.

I don't know how three full car seats would work out in the Xterra. We had a a fullsize GMC crew cab and a Suburban when that was going on but two car seats and a booster worked fine.

So there's a new posting at work telling us all that we're not allowed to wear headphones.

I think it's bullshiat so I wrote a very professional and official petition and began collecting signatures. Left it on a break room table for others to sign.

Somebody (management I assume) didn't like it so it's magically vanished.

definitely didn’t plan to have 3 kids. The wife and I were trying for number 2. And she couldn’t pass up a 2for 1 deal.

To have 3 car seats in the X You need to have 3 car seats that are no wider then 17” wide each. We had to go with the evenflow ones from Walmart. See build thread for pictures. But it works.

Currently have 2 car seats and a booster seat.

Oof. I like it. 5.13s and 35s are good and still streetable I think. The 302 would be my choice. Cheaper parts, smaller size. Dont think the increase in torque with the 351 would be worth the extra effort. I am still a fan of the T56, and built, not sure what I'd want more. I like your set up.

The taller ratios on the off road T56 would go great with the 5.13s
