i was doing some pricing and with shipping the shrock is cheaper than the HF tube bumper. and i know for sure it will fit the body lift. even pricing on HF's site and not nisstec, the shrock is still cheaper. but we all know how shrock do... the best bumpers on the market but oh gobble that wait.

I thought they were the best looking option so it was worth the wait for me to get the look I wanted. Hardcore is quicker but I don't think they look as good as the Shrock stuff.

I really like hardcore's regular bumper, but they keep the same mounts for the body lift one and just make the bumper 2" taller. Ugly imo. Plus I don't care for their skid plate

Wow... I'm gonna have to really consider some sliders and a bumper as I've been procrastinating for months.... AAAAHHH That's a lot of dough at once but I plan to do both regardless so saving $$ is a good thing, right.
Holy crap, I'm fixing to order a front bumper, skids and an armor package. I don't think I've got the tools or space to put the bumper on myself, I'm sure I can handle the painting and install of the skids and sliders tho..

What's a ballpark if I were to have someone put the bumper on for me?

..friggin coopins~

Good excuse to buy an engine hoist! Probably cheaper than labor. I used mine since I'm normally working alone.

Yeah, I know it won't be cheap. I could handle it altho now I'm in a condo that doesn't allow us to work on our cars. I've got air tools and everything, just don't have a place to put it on. I thought about trying to do it at work but if I were to run into problems or time, i'd be stuck on my own..

That sucks. I remember living in the apartment about 11 years ago. That sucked so bad but I had friends in the off-road club that had places to work and would lend a hand.

Bring it by the house. I did mine by myself in about 3hrs with a floor jack and hand tools.

Yeah if you aren't installing a winch at the same time, its a breeze. I just put mine on this spring, by myself as well (except for a few minutes when I had my wife position the bumper so I could put the bolts into the frame brackets). If you are thinking about installing a winch at some point, wait to do it at the same time. I didn't - I wanted that sucker on and couldn't wait, and then ended up taking it off a few months later to put the winch in.

If you guys do decide to install it some weekend let me know as well, I can stop by and help drink some beers - i mean lend a hand.

Yea, I'm beginning to think you're like superXman or something. *I read thru your build..well, it's like a novel so I'm not done yet..

I'll happily buy the house a bottle & spring for beers and food~

The whole reason for the bumper is I wanna winch.. After deciding that the 10% off from Shrockworks was enough to make me order several things I've been wanting for awhile, I then looked at the winches. I'm thinking of making a post to ask people with winches if they actually spent as much or more on the winch than they did the bumper.. I was looking at the Warns on the shrocks website and the cheapest one was lik $1200!! What gives? Where's the happy ground?..

Yeah, you should be able to do it on the Hefty as well, it'd be tight fit to get it tightened down.

I mounted my control box for the winch in a remote location within the winch, so had to take it off to do that.

I think I'd have a hard time getting my Zeon in my bumper without pivoting it forward on the lower mounting bolts. I just installed the winch on the bumper then them together onto the X.

Was taking off the P4X air dam, and two of the bolts are spinning RIP. What’d you guys do to get them out? I tried a flathead screw driver behind the head but to no avail.

Are the bolts spinning or the whole bolt and riv-nut assembly? If it is the riv-nut spinning in the roof, then get ready to take apart your headliner to get to it and remove it.

I was very gentle when trying to initially break the bolts loose, I believe I’m in the same hole of the riv-but breaking loose. Thinking about taking to dealer tomorrow depending on how long it would take, my X is still under warranty but it’s my DD so if the lead time is long i’ll remove headliner tomorrow morning

It is. It is the two in front of passenger side of windshield
Yikes. Those are captive in the steel across the windshield. Racking my brain, I think the ones on the end can be accessed from inside. But the two in the middle are inaccessible from underneath.

Anyone have a spinning screw that fastens the wheel well liner to the outer edge of the fog light plastic.
