I tried to get good tickets for this weekend. Doesn't look like I can. Might have to wait till next weekend. I can't wait to see it. Gonna be so good.
No one really likes our local theater, which I don't understand. They have nice new recliner seats and they're right here. We'll probably have half the theater empty.

I added an AP to the garage just for that reason. So the driveway has good signal.
We're hoping to sell the current place and move somewhere that has a real garage, so I wasn't gonna waste the time and money running ethernet out there to the current one. Just deciding what I want to run for a mesh network at the new place.

$330 shipped from China. Head unit, 360º camera system, USB front/rear dash cams, and USB hub. That's less than a used Pioneer W4660 on eBay.

I don't have the cash to press buy at the moment. But holy ufck that's tempting. There's a lot of work on the truck that needs doing before I could install it, so if I decide to go that way I think I'll wait until I fabricate the amp bracket under the seat, order the front speakers, and the replacement subwoofer. That seems like a more reasonable thing to do. All of that other shiat needs to be done regardless of head unit decisions.

I've gotta see it in the Dolby theater at AMC. That movie is going to be too good for cheap seats.

I havent seen any of the spider man movies probably in the last 18 ish years.
Sadly I can't remember the last Spiderman movie I saw. Maybe 6-7yrs at least. I tend to wait till they're out of the theater for sure.

I knew a chick that got bedbugs from a theater in CO years ago. Just haven't been back.

was it terrible? The previews made me think it was going to be terrible and predictably like every other hollywood remake. And that main actress is terrible.
I enjoyed it.

I'm not on the amount of LSD needed to really follow the original Dune movie. It quickly left me scrolling my phone or not pausing it to take a bathroom break or get a refill.

I felt like I understood the story line in the remake much better and felt drawn to watch it.

I have a friend who is a HUGE Herbert fan and has the entire Dune series. He also loved the new one and is poised to preorder movie tickets once the 2nd's release date is announced.

First one from the 80's was a horrible slog. And I liked it as a kid (hence the name). The 2000 Sci-Fi Channel miniseries was truer to the books, but had too much of a stage play feel to it. Which makes sense because they were going for practical stage lighting effects with many scenes.

2021's Pt 1 is probably the best portrayal of the book. The confusion of Paul and his arrogance as a 15 year old child are well portrayed by Chalet. Chani is a non-character in Pt 1, which is fine as they only had about 15 min to introduce her with where they broke the movie, but they did capitalize on Zendaya playing her too much. And as much hate as we give breaking movies nowadays, this was the right decision.

It's hard to go into why it's a good adaptation without a 5000 word essay, but go watch it. Understand this is a political intrigue story set in a sci-fi feudal system, and not a Buck Rodgers action piece.

I found dis. For anybody that's ever been in a nice car. (BMW, Audi, actually newer LE trim Nissans) When you put it in reverse, the passenger mirror dips down so you can see the parking lot lines or curbs, etc. It's ufcking nice.

This module emulates that in any vehicle with power mirrors.

When I get paid next week, I'm ordering two. One for the Mustang and one for the X.

It'll be a while. Since I'm going to do heated mirrors and potentially cameras in the mirrors at the same time. I just want to order this thing now because its a really small company and kind of a 1-off product. I don't want it to disappear while I'm waiting to get to it.

Thinking I may sell my truck, buy a used f150 for cash and pocket the difference. I miss my f150 and this Tundra is a good truck, but not really ever resonated with me.

Hmm.
