House is decorated. Tree is up.

Trying to get in the mood. Having a hard time.
It's wierd. Over the last five years or so, I've grown, shall we say, to dislike Christmas.

I'm at a point in my life where if there's something I really want, I just buy it. If there's something my wife wants, she gets to buy it.

My kid doesn't need more crap. She's got more stuff than she needs (she's an only child, and my parents only grandchild).

My parents have done a ton for us this year. My dad build us stuff all the time.

And my wife's sisters breed like freaking rabbits. We buy gifts for the kids, and my wife's youngest sister is a self inflicted dumpster fire.

I'm just over Christmas, and have been for the last few years.

I used to love Xmas. Especially after I had kids. They love it and it amped me up about it. And now it just feels empty. The movies are still good. Scrooged, Xmas Vacation, Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol. Still enjoying those. But the family centric notions that I used to enjoy seem broken and lost.

Didn't go ride motorcycles today because of weather, not to waste my birthday weekend, went in search of a place I've wanted to find for a bit, elizabethtown nm, or whats left it, was NM's first incorporated town, named after the daughter of an army captain, found her grave too
on top of a hill, not far from the interstate, but you'd never know just driving through

Interested in going back with the x, lots of dirt roads that go on for a very long ways it seems

Given your family situation (what little of it I know, anyways), I can completely understand that.

In hindsight, I probably should have posted that in the let it out thread.

@XterraRising @General_Tarfun or anyone else who may have some insight on battery tenders.. I'm about to start looking into a tender for a non agm battery in my 2nd vehicle that rarely gets driven and knew you guys had some experience. What should I be looking for or do you guys have one that you like?
Thx in advance~
The one I have installed in my engine bay is a NOCO Genius 2D 2-amp charger. Very simple, but it has worked since I installed it a year ago. I hid it just beneath the barf bottle on the passenger side fender.

No issues with heat from the engine. I drove it to California and back recently, and drove it around a bit in this frickin hot Utah summer we had without problems. No issues with cold either. My garage isn’t heated, and it’s always well below freezing in the mornings.

man i feel this. I love the season. i hate the "WHAT DO YOU WANT WHAT DO YOU WANT WHAT DO YOU WANT" constant barrage during december. i hate the commercial nature of it.

with kids its magic. Anything else i just am SO over.

I hate valentines day for the same reason. if im with you, we celebrate each other all the time. we dont need one day where they crank up the price of roses and booze to celebrate.

I still enjoy Christmas for most things except Presents. Wife and I dont get each other anything. We get a few things for our son and we each taking him out with a budget to get each of us a couple things. We try to make him think of something he wants to do with us and get something towards that.

Valentines day is a crock of shiat. I have always been perfectly clear about my feeling around that to everyone.

I gave my wife a potato one year for Valentines Day, does that count?

We celebrate all the random days, the day we met, the day we started courting, the day we got engaged. But not any of the commercialized days, because screw you, I can either buy 1 dozen roses on stupid day, or 3 dozen for the same price any other day of the year... Also, she isn't the super-romantic type anyway, and would just be annoyed if I did any of that sort of nonsense. We do enjoy irritating all of her super-romantic friends about this stuff, though.
