-6 is 30* warmer than it was last week. Cleaned out the chicken coop, scraped the walk ways, plowed the driveway, built sledding hill, hauled fire wood and a bunch of cleaning up.

I start getting grumpy when the temps dip to -5. Sadly, I’ve become accustomed to working in freezing-ass cold… not necessarily because I wanted to either.

It was 65 today. I was in just a t-shirt until about an hour before sunset. By 2am it’s supposed to be down to 28 and we’re getting 7 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon if the NWS is correct. Crazy.

-18 with a wind chill of -30. Snowing heavily with strong winds. The snow drifts at work were over 6' tall against the building and lots of the roads in town are drifted in as well.

Wired a power supply to out new Google thermostat. My system doesn't have the common wire so I had to add a supply and the adapter from Google. Kinds messy but it works. I make it less unsightly later...

Yup, we try not do new installs when its colder than -25*c but run service work to -40*c and only emergency work after that.

Be thankful the quarantine is only 5 days now. I started last year with it but barely had any symptoms (basically just a very mild headache and tired). Longest 10 days of my life being stuck in the house like that.

Day 3: still have my taste and smell. Don't feel quite as bad but the cough has shown up. Been hacking all morning. Wearing masks around the kids and using tons of sanitizer.
