Status update for Gamora:
My buddy and I ended up double clamping the return port from the radiator. That apparently stopped the issue, and all the drips after that were residual fluid that had worked its way into crevices that we couldn't clean.
The mechanic put it on the lift and clean it again, and went about revving the engine to get it to leak.
No leaks were found. They're confident it should be good to drive, and only charged me a diagnostic fee.
I love an honest shop.

Reminder my friends, insurance companies are absolutely NOT your friend. Always make sure you read your policy, know your coverages and do not let yourself get screwed. Insurance companies are a business. They will cut corners and try to use shiat parts for cheaper payout. Don’t let them. Ever. You are paying them for a product. Make sure you get absolutely everything you deserve and are paying for.
