Morning !! Since I'm TRYING to watch what I eat I guess I'll for-go the chocolate milk on my Capt Crunch And now only 2 egg's with breffus . I am NOT cutting back on Scrapple or Bacon amount though , sometimes you must stand your ground

Old construction technique. My Grandpa built houses and their house he built in 1968 was done that way.

We have a cracked floor joist under the dining room I'm gonna have to fix soon too. Stupid old house....

If you just rip some 1/2 inch plywood down to 6" x 8' and sister them [ one on each side] you can screw or bolt them [ glue is also recommended] on so the crack is in the middle of the 8ft length wise it wont move/crack again . Just predrill so no surprise cracking happen's .

Been super busy. One station took a dump at 4pm yesterday, so it was a bit of a scramble to figure out what was wrong. We put the backup site on air, but it's about 1/2 power. THEN the spanish station decided to send only 1/2 a log yesterday so guess who got the call at midnight when there was nothing on air? Was not a fun night. Today, I'm still at work, learning about Docker and Kubernetes, while Mrs packs so we can go to her parents for the weekend. Oh, and did I mention we're listing our house and the photographer is coming Monday?

Took the kids to the range this am. Spent a couple hours breaking in the new rifle and letting them shoot me .22

And yes he did shoot the new rifle in .223

I will admit. I was having a proud dad moment. Speciallly with the two s shooting that little rifle for the first time.

Got a last minute call yesterday by doctors office. They had two doses of the single shot vaccine they needed to give someone, so I went to take it. Apparently they had two cancellations, and cant throw away any vaccine, so they have to find someone to give it to. I was previously undecided on if i would or not, but I knew i didnt want the two part.

Got it yesterday at 5. Must have some form of steroid or something in it, because I was way hyped up. then i crashed and passed out at like 10pm. I woke up at 3am and have been up since. I have a low grade headache, light body aches and just overall feel blah.

and its ufcking nice out. yet here i sit on the couch.

She said to expect symptoms for 24 hours. I still think it may have been the right call. I dunno.

im ufckin hungry tho

I could use some practice with one of those newer one's . I kinda taught myself year's ago on a stick welder with smaller thing's on the boat but that's been quite a few year's . I do like the newer visor's that go on automatically instead of flip your head down .

I learned to weld with oxy-acetalyne (sp?, I think same as ‘stick’ welding?) in an art class almost 20 years ago. I wish it was something I had a chance to continue doing since then.

Not quite the same. Oxy-acetylene uses a torch. Stick welding uses consumable electrodes encased in a flux material that you attach to a clamp. I’ve repaired way too many truck ramps in my day. If I never use a stick welder again, it’ll be too soon.
