Your garage may be messy and BRIGHT, but wait til you put in white foamboard insulation on the rafters.

My garage is so BRIGHT I gotta wear shades. (And I still need a couple more 4ft LED fixtures.)

Not putting any money in the garage right now. We are working on updating the kitchen ( gutting onto the old cabinets and floor and replacing with updated ones.)

then In the spring it’s getting new windows in the bedrooms and kitchen as well

I used these https://www.lowes.com/pd/Insulfoam-...ene-Garage-Door-Foam-Board-Insulation/3033278 to "finish" the ceiling. Furring strips and screws with fender washers finished it off. I was surprised at how much cold no longer came in from the rafter area. I think I spent about $100 for the Insulfoam. The walls already had batt insulation in them.

Y’a. That might end up being a this summer project. The sill plates on 2 of the walls on that garage are completely rotted out. 5he wife and I are discussing if we want to spend the money to fix the issue or to tear the garage down and start from scratch

Kids having a friend over for a slumber party tonight. I feel like I'm passing through some sort of parental threshold.
