Greetings,

Who makes the BEST tensioner and belts. My 2014 (57k miles) is getting really irritating on cold starts with the high pitched squeakies. I am going to go ahead and replace the tensioner and belt. In yalls experience who makes the best one? Is it worth buying OEM, or should I snag a gates? Any recommended vendor, cheers.

I wound up buying the continental kit, that included the tensioner and the belt. Both tensioners are made in canada. the Continental one is a plastic pulley, where as the OEM one was metal. With black paint on it. Thats the only difference I can tell so far. Doubt it matters.

Total time from start to finish including changing the air filter was well under 1 hour.

How many miles have you put on it since replacement, and how's it holding up?

When I started mine up after replacing a wheel speed sensor yesterday I heard the unmistakable noise of a worn belt and tensioner, because (as we all know) when you replace a part, the others get jealous. I saw the Continental belt/tensioner/idler pulley kit for $80 on Rock Auto, which seems like a reasonable price for a known/trusted supplier.
