For the X w/o the cold weather package, the switch panel only has 3 switches in the lower center dash- Traction control, downhill decent, & rear locker. I'm out of blanks for switches and am going to install the front locker soon so I'm trying to source the dash bit with the 5 switches. Unfortunately I've only been able to find the P/N for the Frontier- 68245-ZL45C. Is this the same part for the X?

Thanks in advance.

There was no 5 switch panel for the X. The Frontier LE was the only one. That is the trim bezel (or Finisher as Nissan likes to call it).

The Fronty trim panel fits the late 09+ Xterra dash. Does not work with the 05-early 09 dash.

You also need the switch carrier.

And a few extra screws

Lastly, howdy stranger! Haven't seen you here in a long time!

I ordered the switch carrier already as I knew I'd need that. Good to know it'll fit the '12, I'll order it this week.

Howdy howdy, it has been a long time huh!? After the shutdown and my company screwing me out of a lot of vacation time I'm happy to report I was finally able to make it to an event (Winter 4x4 Jamboree). Looking forward to gone in May now.

My '15 Pro4X has the five switch panel; seat heater controls for both seats, locker, VDC off, and hill descent control. I'm not sure if it's specific to the '15 Pro4X and then the Frontiers of that same year and newer.

Interesting. I've never seen a factory 5-switch in an X. Mine is the Frontier part.

I'm not sure when they started adding seat heaters, so that might play into it. It might also be something only on northern-tier vehicles, I'm not really sure.

LOL, I'm going to pop by the dealer to pick up the screws (01451-0018U) from the dealer after work Monday, as shipping for the 8 screws I need is $40! The dealer is 5 min away and I had to pick the dealer from the Nissan Parts site!

Now don't get me wrong, I understand supply/demand. I also understand price gouging.

Yeah. Little stuff like that I just get locally. Although, if you order the parts online from your local dealer for pickup you don't pay any shipping charges and often a cheaper price than you can get by just requesting the part at the counter.

I drive past the dealer every morning after work. I'll just pick them up and pay there, no need to "order" and then go there.
