Hey folks! This is our attempt to get the most amount of Xterras at one time on the trail. We'd like to go out Sunday, November 8th around mid-morning. The question is where can we go to get the most out at once (some of you guys are in southern Virginia, and some are in Maryland). We can either do Peter's Mill Run (ideally in reverse, with the option to do both directions), or Flagpole Knob (I believe Switzer Lake - stock Xterra safe). Please let us know by Sunday and we'll make an official thread!

Flagpole up switzer lake will be views on views. Beautiful with water crossings and steep drops. Makes for a far more interesting trail. I love it up there.

just throwing up some motivation if you’re having trouble deciding lol.

How much overhang is there on the trail? If we hang by the lake it might be worth throwing the kayak on the roof.

There are a couple of fun areas with low hanging limbs. 99.9% if the trail can accommodate a kayak on the roof.

you’re really going to want to play around in that 0.1% though.

Just put the wife's kayak on the roof for a test run :D Wait a minute ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; If you put your kayak up there and a tree take's it out what better excuse to buy that new/improved one you've been eyeing up  Sorry I tend to over-think..........

Maybe I'll leave it at home but still bring the fishing pole.

If you had a trailer with a stout hitch lock and kayaks that can lock in, I would say leave them in the parking area near the boat ramp. Risky though with all the car camping hippie nomads in their Subarus from up north.... you can spot them a mile away in their L.L. Bean attire.

Don’t get me wrong, I love subarus. I convinced my mother to buy a new (at the time) 2015 outback and a new Ascent last year. I also convinced a friend to buy a new Forester last year.

come to think of it..... where’s my commission check?
