in my part of the world a lot of offroad modifications company are marketing an item called Sulastic which is US made and said to highly improve the ride quality of any leafs rear suspension car including pickups , trucks and Xterras.

have anyone had any experience with those? they are a bit expensive but since i actually use my X to take the kids out and my wife keeps bitching about how rough my X is compared to her Mercedes (Duuh!o_O) C class.i thought its worth it to at least check if theyr worth to try.

Basically, they are bushings, right? Probably made from a proprietary compound to make them harder than OEM rubber, but not as stiff as poly bushings.

Nope, I’ve never ran them. But if your bushings are worn out, give them a try, unless they are overpriced.

i think they are modified bushings with stronger rubber compound. they are expensive (around 450 USD!) but they way they are marketing it that the car drives way better , especially with pickups like Tundras Tacomas and GMCs.

$450 is crazy for bushings. I paid around $40 for my two forward mount leaf spring bushings recently.

Haven’t put a lot of miles on yet but so far I’m very happy with the Nolathane ones.

Can you get whiteline or Nolathane in your area?

ETA I just googled Sulastic, and it looks like there’s more to it than just bushings. It’s like a shackle / bushing hybrid.

No idea how something like that would work on an Xterra.

I don't think I would run those. I would stick with the standard suspension design and good quality bushings.

Adding complexity to a suspension as simple as leaf springs is just asking for trouble.

im not sure we can get nolathane in here , but anything can be exported for a price!

i have no issues with my bushings yet , but sulastic sounded too good to be true , update: i checked with a friend who got them on his Hilux and he said it did improve the ride quality but not to its price.

Thanks for the support!
