Hi guys. I am looking to see if anyone has put a set of 305/70/16's on Pro Comp 7089's (backspace 4, offset -12) on a Gen 2 with a 2 1/2" SL. I was aiming for the 285/75 size but may have found a deal on 305/70's. I am concerned about rubbing. I don't mind a bit of rub at full lock, but I don't want to trim metal.

Thanks

I'm fairly certain that will need a good bit of trimming. The diameter is not so much the problem. The biggest issue will be the increased width of the tire coupled with the increased track width of the truck. You could always try it on the aftermarket wheels and if it doesn't work out it on your stock wheels.

Ryan is correct. I put the 7089's on my '05 with 285's/ 2-2.5 SL and I had to trim 1.5" of fender just to turn. 305's are over a half inch wider and will be that much more to catch fender.

Ok. Thanks guys. I am not really looking to trim fender at this point. If I am, then I will just through the 35's I already have on the rig.
