I want to shake your hand.
We've probably met before, but not in person. We may have spoke on the phone or exchanged emails. You may have read my posts on Nissan related forums, or read about me in a magazine. You possibly heard about some guy that has answers to your Nissan questions and sent me a facebook message. Maybe someone tagged me in your question on facebook or my truck popped up on your instagram feed.
You probably drive a Nissan, and take it off road.
We may have met more than once or twice, but soon, I want to shake your hand.

You see, earlier this year I had some realizations and crashed pretty hard. I was totally ready to pull the plug on Rugged Rocks, and focus on other things. I was there tugging on the cord and I had an overwhelming number of responses from both companies and individuals that were reminding me of my significance in the Nissan off road world. I was told by someone in the industry that I basically created this market. I cant take all the credit, but those were big words. For quite sometime and despite what I've done, I had felt pretty dang small. Although I'm still currently putting more focus on other things, I don't see Rugged Rocks going away and I'm trying to get the proper people involved in it very soon. But that's not what this is all about today. What I want to focus on is the people. If it wasn't for the people, I would have pulled the plug. And if it wasn't for the people, I wouldn't have ever plugged it in, in the first place.
I was 20 years old when i started this journey, and I really didn't know where it was going to go. But I saw that people were so passionate about their trucks and they couldn't get the parts they needed... in many cases because they didnt exist. I honestly just wanted to fill the gaps, educate people on how things work and what the possibilities were. On August 27th, 2006, the website went live making it 13 years old this month.
I couldn't have brought new products to the market without the online Nissan community, and many people in the online community wouldn't have the trucks they've been able to build without what I've done. We had a hell of a run surprising a few parts manufactures. Thank you for being part of this and making this all possible. Who knows what Nissan has In store for the next generation of midsize 4x4s, but hopefully this isn't over.
(I seriously wont be doing this alone)

I hope people that currently wheel Nissans as well as those that found their 4 wheeling roots in a Nissan will come too. I hope to see familiar faces as well as new ones. Anyone who has had anything to do with Rugged Rocks including vendors are welcome to come out. I want to shake your hand.

Although I'm not organizing any trail runs, I'm hoping this encourages people to come check out the trails in big bear and johnson valley. Maybe a few of the clubs can get together and plan stuff or maybe a few people just step up as trail leaders. Be smart about it, but if you've never been out here before.... consider going and playing!

A lot has changed since 2006.
I know there are some differences between a couple groups, and I urge you to just let it go. I can say that things wouldn't have grown and changed so much since 2006 if it had started out this way.. but ultimately, I just want to shake your hand.

I really dont know who or how many will show, but you know where to find me.
