3 leaf add-a-leaf correct? im thinking of getting that with my 3in lift. how are they vs. getting just the bigger shackels?

Correct 3pk! I currently am running 1.5 or 2' shackles and the height is alright. Do I want her taller? Of course :)

I know that with the 3pk i'm going to run the stock shackles until the leafs settle as i dont want to be total porn star mode (aka ass in the air) but once she settles ill throw the after market ones back on.

I would assume that the larger shackles would make you taller but wouldn't offer the extra cushioning as the leafs would.

I will be honest in saying that I wasn't planning on doing the AAL but the BF though it would be a good idea so he bought them for me. lol (gobble i sound spoiled but in reality i am paying him for them)

I had just the larger shackles on my black Xterra, and it smoothed the ride out ok, but only because I wasn't bouncing off the bumpstops anymore. The stock leaf pack was starting to flatten out though, and ride quality was not yet an issue, but it was getting there. I really suggest that your rear lift comes from an add-a-leaf at the very least, with full replacement leaf springs (Alcans or Deavers for a first gen; Old Man Emu Dakars for a 2nd gen) for a lift as the best solution.

Sorry to threadjack you, Doodle. Just thought I could add some insight to the current conversation.

Really sweet Snicks, I almost wish you would have been patient enough to paint the UCA's pink too.

How do you like the feel of steering setup?

New extended brake lines all around.

Pick of the rake. I tried to use the stock shackles but the angle was too knarly so I kept the aftermarket ones on.

You can see how excited i am with the new height!

PS. I don't want to sound like a Debby downer or a nervous Nelly but I had the same rake as you for a week or so and had to emergency brake on the highway. I just about messed myself cause it felt like the back tires came off the ground. I would be afraid of that being amplified with the tire on the roof. Just something to think about.

Something seems a bit off about that much rake.. Did you raise the front yet? Seems like the shackles are a hair to straight for me.. But since I do not have the 3" lift ill let those that do chime in... RacerXXL may be a good one on this

Dani, there were another set of shrock sliders posted just the other day on Nexterra.

Ive been tryin to get in contact with the dude selling a set on there but no response.

As far as the rake, i actually dont mind it. I can still stop without going ass over end.

Mel- agreed been modding like crazy the past few weeks. Its all finally paying off.
