When I ordered mine with Scott on the phone the plan was to shipout in the order they were ordered. Which makes me the last one shipped. He did tell me he ran out of shipping labels and was waiting for the new supply from USPS/FEDEX/UPS or whomever he uses. He was super appologetic for the delays. We actually remembered each other from nXm2. Sorry to here about his daughter.

Nah I will stick with my Army issue e-tool and my WW2 issue e-tool. The RUT just seems a little to cheaply made for any real abuse.

have a buddy that had one, he said they were WAY too weak for any real usage, so, I'm with you, I can go pick up new issue e-tools nice and cheap

Exactly and if I can't use it as a toilet seat and cut through a tree root it ain't good enough.

I'm not sure I want the visual but how exactly does one use an e-tool as a toilet seat?

Its more of a bench but, you stab the shovel into the ground, bend the handle flat across, and put your helmet or something under the other end. Gives you something to brace yourself on.

I had to use my Trail Ax today to rig up a fence. Dude this this is SHARRRPP!

Only negative- the compass and survival kit came out of the bottom on the 3rd whack. Smittybilt didn't think that one through well enough.

They'll come out before the first "hwhack" for me...they can go in my FAK

Hi All!
We here at our store just found out about the lanyard. " Dont swing the Axe around anyone by the lanyard!"
we cleaned out the crappy glue and used some super glue we had around the shop.
it seems to hold pretty good so far... plastic to aluminum?
if this is a deal breaker for anyone, let me know.
thanks,
Scott
