Anyone ever done a small rack in the front only. Instead of the wet box that comes stocl. O never use the full rack curious how smaller would look. And mostly for 1st gens

I was thinking smaller. Like just the he front lower area and maybe 4 inch high. Not full top bars

I'm not positive I understand. The two pictures I referenced only cover the "front lower area" and aren't that high.

FauxFox, what AllenFam is talking about is removing the stock Xterra roof rails altogether, and then having just a basket over the lower, front cab area only.

I suppose it could be done. It would definitely be unique.
