Nice build! My favorites are the "Fresh Air Mod" and the "Moved to Michigan."

I've been considering that spot for a compressor. How is it working out?

Love what you have done to your truck! Did you paint the skulls on your air dam on top, looks sweet, I just might have to steal the idea, the only problem I can't paint like that.:( That stereo must put out a lot, nice setup. thanks for posting pics on your build.

There isn't a WHOLE lot of space to put a compressor there. I mounted the smaller ARB comp and relays to the metal plate, then mounted it upside down in that spot. Fits perfect but I doubt you would be able to fit a larger one there. If the compressor were somehow longer but not wider? It would work. I have been thinking about cutting the floor out of that area and getting a metal box built to drop in. Like the 2nd Gens kinda. I have a 2" BL so there is plenty of wasted space under there... Especially if I removed the spare. I actually took the plastic cover thing that holds the tools, cut the bottom off with a dremel, and it fits right back on top of that metal plate and can be screwed down with the stock screw. If you lift the carpet back there, you can't tell the compressor is there at all. I haven't had any issues with it there. It's pretty quiet when it kicks on and off. Plus it keeps it clean and dry. If i ever have to mess with it, I just take the plastic cover off, two bolts holding the metal plate down, and It's right there. (Which I actually need to do. Lately, the locker doesn't want to disengage when I turn it off. Not sure if the relay is sticking or the -30 weather pissed it off)

I did paint that. It was the 2nd thing I ever painted when i was learning to airbrush. I am going to carry it over to the hood bulge as soon as it gets a little warmer. You can't really tell in that picture, in fact It's hard to tell in person, there are hidden stuffs in the paint. Shotgun on the left, M4 on the right, the A bomb on the right is completely made of skulls. On the hood I plan on hiding ammo, gas masks, more skulls... lol.

The stereo is out of control. I had a system in one truck, took it out when i sold it, added to it in a second truck, took it out when i sold it, added to it when i put it in the X. Right now, some of it is kinda ghetto. I haven't had the time or weather to finish it. I was working on it when i moved to Michigan 2 years ago. My latest job only gave me time to come home at night and sleep then get up early and do it all again the next day... I lost 30 lbs because I didn't have time to eat! Finished with that job now, found the 30 lbs, looking for a new job (hopefully somewhere in the south!) I don't normally like to post pics of stereos because the X tends to stand out and I don't people stealin my stuffs. BUT, it's got (4) 2 way 6 3/4 components, (4) 3 way 6x9s, (2) 12s, (1) 8, 3k watts'ish. When i lived in the mojave, I don't think I rolled my windows up for 2 years+. When i would drive down the highway, I wanted to hear the voices not just the bass. It works. On my to-do list is to finish fiberglassing the door speakers but I can't decide if i want to make the doors removable of not yet. (Depends on where my next job is) then waterproofing comes in to play... I probably won't, but still thinking about it.

Got bored last night, think I've been stuck in the house for WAY too long. SO, I airbrushed my gas tank. Got a little crazy with it.

Wanted to add a little color to this one. Was feeling red/pink for some reason? Breast cancer awareness? Got the idea from talking about Kilroy history.

Rear recovery hook. Cut some angle iron, drilled holes to match, painted, drilled holes in rear passenger side frame, inserted angle iron overlapped into frame, bolts through everything. Have used sever times over the winter and works like a charm.

Very long night after a VERY long day. Broke both motor mounts, both TRA's, busted the BJ's on the CL, busted both upper BJ's one lower BJ... on the side of a mountain. Couldn't back down because we would have died. Had to get some friends to help keep the wheels straight so we could finish going up. THEN, no other truck could get up to the top so we had to bring a tow dolly up by hand. Put the X on the tow dolly and drove DOWN the other side of the mountain with the front wheels on the tow dolly... was a CRAZY CRAZY day! (was totally my fault)

What would you want on it? I may be able to make that happen. I think I have an extra in storage. Gotta know that I haven't been painting long though so I am by no means a pro. That, and I will be moving in about two months (if I can find a job in Texas, DFW area)

Finally dry/warm enough to finish a few projects outside. Too bad it cost me malaria from getting bit by all the damn mosquitoes!

Added some little LED lights that I had laying around forever. They are tied in to the door/unlock lights. That way if I ever have the rear hatch open at night, someone better see me!

My own version of the rear shelf mod. Most of that junk still needs to be secured, I was just trying to get it up off of the floor.

Finally cleared the hood and installed. Could have used a 2nd set of hands to reinstall. It turned out a liiittle brighter than I expected but it's just going to have to do. I toyed with putting a light coat of grey over the whole thing, to darken it all up, but said screw it... I'm tired of not being able to drive the X because I didn't have a hood on! :-D

Edit: The funny colors on the black grill is water.

Is it just me or does it look like picture # 8 above has a skull head shape on the right side of the windshield?

Was that trickery or just accidental shading from the tree above?

Thinking about re-re-repainting the hood soonish (this year lol). It's on the list of things to do anyway. I'm not nice to the X and it gets bumps and bruises every so often. Well, one of the bumps scratched the hood and I was living in northern Michigan at the time so it started to rust. Nothing major, I could probably just buff it out and patch the paint job. BUT, I need the practice. Anyway, I was thinking about taking some design ideas from here, like a sort of contest maybe? We will see when the time comes. I kinda have a skull, smoke, war theme going that ibwould like to stay with... I'll make a new post when the time comes.

The use of the paints that look different at different angles, made to depict your sig line gif, would be cool.
