Ive always loved this rig. When I had my 1st gen I wanted it to look just like this one.
Have you done the UP expo trip again lately? I want to do that one soooooo bad.

Do you really have the twin Lockers? (rhetorical question) Thats like a dream come true. A very very nice dream come true.

I would love to see this setup churning snow all locked right up .... makes me all warm and fuzzy inside just picturing it.

Thanks for sharing

Last I went was 2010, its a fun run but lost its flair for me. To many trucks on the trail many of them enormous campers. Slow going and obstacles that were a breeze hang the crew up for a hour. I've done many years in 2wd. I now wait for them to put up the GPS tracks and just retrace them at my own pace. Take it easy put my kayaks in etc. The solitude is nice.

Haha yes sir, with two air hisses I either walk into deep trouble or right out. There is little it can't handle. Makes the offroading experence so much more controlled and enjoyable. Best mod to date.

Yeah rear was way easier. I replaced the gear oil last month and no metal glitter so I must have done something right. Rear locker is way more fun to mess around town with to. Avoided getting out and locking the hubs many times this winter.

Added some more graphics.

I'll have to snag more pictures but yes. I made them.

Transfer case has a stock early pathfinder skid plate I nabbed when I swapped to a pathy case.

I made the rear gas tank skid from bits of 3/16 steel plate cut and welded together. Real stout.

The front skid I made protects the oil pan only. Kind of a minimalist approach. But there again I drive to work far more then I wheel and when I wheel I rarely use the skids. So I didn't want boat anchors. Just something to protect the frail tin pan.

Yeah the build thread on club X is like 25+ pages of rig evolution. Just alot of copy pasta. Hard to do from my phone. Rather then stuff it up with alot of knowledge people have already seen. Just keep it more simple here on XN I guess. Not really doing this for myself, but rather people with questions or that want ideas on which route to take on their build up.

Awesome, atypical build in all the right ways, sir. The MT90 is awesome isn't it.

Yes MT90 is awesome. Liquid engineering at its finest. I actually blew my clutch at gonemoab in such a manner that I couldn't disengage it. I drove two days from Utah to Illinois changing gears without the aid of the clutch. Trans is just fine today with 165,000 miles. Good stuff.

Hit a bump at walgreens. Bam! Front end gave out. Drove 40miles on it on the bumpstop. Had just enough tire clearance. Was perfect in a straight line. Just rode rough and lopsided. Turning provided a small amount of tire rub.

Been there before, just before I got on the turnpike here in Ohio a huge snap and front end bottomed out. Unlike you I did not have the clearance to drive anymore and had to get a tow.

Did you have the aftermarket torsion bars as well. Or were you rolling on the stock bars. Trying to figure if its actually worth buying the 30% stiffer bars again.

I had stock. This is way before I realized there was aftermarket or there was such a thing as modding lol

If I had to do it over again I would have bought after market.
