Love the guns everyone. So which member has the Gun Rack installed in their X? lol
Anyone have large property in say the,..Pocono area?? I would like to come up and target practice now and then, on some private land. I don't own anything high powered....yet.

I'm considering it, if I can figure out how to do it in a way that can be 100% secured and covered...

The biggest reason is hearing. I still wear ear pro but it wouldn't be necessary to. With my ear pro on though it sounds like I'm shooting a CO2 powered pellet gun. Second part (which I haven't experienced yet but I know it happens) is hunting. Because suppressors get rid of the big BOOM all that is left is the sonic crack of the bullet (for the most part). The loud boom is what gives you away to animals. The sonic crack may be kinda loud but it's sound waves move lateral to the bullet, making it hard for animals to figure out exactly where to run, which can in turn give you more time to get that second coyote (or deer or pig whatever it is you hunt).

It's a pretty fun conversation piece as well!

New Mosin!

Picked up a 1939 Mosin Nagant with matching serial numbers :)

Not really a "gun guy" but I am definitely big into history.

Cleaned out all the cosmoline over a few hours, and then completely sanded and refinished the stock. Can't wait to take this out to the range!

I've been on the hunt for a Mosin for a while, but every one I come across is either way too expensive or in really terrible condition. One day, though, I will find a good one for a reasonable price.

Yours is a very nice find.

You can get some great savages to start with as well. I got a savage 10-tr for under $500 that shoots 1/2 MOA with my loads. Cabelas has one that is almost exactly like it. I think it is the 10 FCP-SR, but don't quote me on that.
