Every campus I've ever been to in TN has been Zero Tolerance, meaning you can't even get caught with it in your vehicle, even with CCP. That goes for college as well has high schools and elementary schools. This also means the parking lot, or the transient visit while cruising for chicks.

Believe me, I'm a FIRM believer in the 2nd Amendment, but it isn't worth me losing my CCP, or my X, or my other state licenses to get caught with a firearm on campus...and I dang sure don't want to spend the night in jail.

Actually, if you are at a elementary, middle, or high school, and you are dropping of or picking up and you have your ccp you can have your gun on you if you stay in the car. If for some reason you must exit the vehicle the fire arm must be secured in the vehicle.

F.Y.I. here is a great site for U.S. gun laws.

Ah, see, I didn't know that. I've always erred on the side of caution and not done it. My SRO used to get on to my dad during hunting season because he'd pick me up from school to go hunting with both of our shotguns in the truck.

Damn dude, you're a SAW gunner? I don't think I'd wanna lug that damn thing around on patrol. Beats carrying an M60, I guess. :)

The M9 is sweet.

I've been a saw gunner at every unit I've been too I love the thing. Granted I don't do missions every day this deployment I'm just the fill in guy for when people are gone so that makes it even better.

He wins the battle of the internets.

Like I said they TECHNICALLY aren't mine. Everybody else has awesome guns they get to keep when they go home mine I have to give back. The only one I currently own is a WW2 Lee and Endfield British .303

I'll never understand why the Army and Marines still use the M9. First time I ever held and shot an M9 I wanted to go cry in the corner, just didn't feel natural *to me*. There's jut a lot better firearms out there IMO.

Here's the only picture I have of any firearms...

1879 production. I'll be 5generation to own it. Just went sport shooting with it last weekend. Still shoots as good as the day she was born.

Interesting, for those of us who don't know much about guns can you tell us what all the other things are?

That's a Mosin-Nagant M91/30. I think everyone should on a MN as they are just too affordable to pass up and the surplus ammo is cheap too. You can get the rifle for $85 - $110 and 800rds of 7.64x54 for less than $200. Plus MN style rifles helped the Russians beat the Nazis and the Chinese held off the Imperial Japan with them. What you see is the accompanying bayonet, ammo pouches, and sling.

The little black things are AR lowers, the only thing considered a firearm (or rather other according to paperwork) on AR-based firearms.

That's just seeeeeeeeeeexy! Love the family heirloom factor of it too. My 10/22 that I got when I was 12 will end up being ours -- not as cool, but at least its something. :)

Ok I don't want to start a new thread for this but real quick and without speaking a different language what shotgun would you suggest for my first gun ever, I would use it for everything...like a set of AT tires :D Security, and whatever I feel like hunting. I know the shells also determine that like slugs for deer and suck and birdshot/ buckshot for other things.

I have only fired 2 different shotguns ever. About 50 rounds thru a remington 870 (what I'm leaning towards) and 5 shells thru a brand new stoeger 2000 waterfowl.
I also see the mossberg 500 is a popular beginners gun.

Sweet 3 for 3 haha. I think nismo has somewhat convinced me to get the synthetic. As much as I like the look of the wood stock compared to the all black synthetic I don't want to worry about it every time I'm out in the woods.

Yep, that's the beauty of synthetic stocks. They are worry and maintenance free. No need to worry about humidity, bumps and scrapes, etc.

I would get a used 12g pump, think more about the utility of the gun over the manufacturer. All of the big manufacturers guns are going to work just fine for you, Winchester, Remongton, Mossburg,,,,, wood stock, synthetic,

I have an old flight king standard( non magnum ) that is older than most of the members of this forum, and it has never had a problem, not a single misfire, or jam. Walnut stock, and while there are a couple of scratches on the stock it goes out in the woods, and I dont have to give a second thought. Whatever you get keep it clean, and oiled and it will last for generations.

Yeah, that's also true. My dad's got a couple of Winchester Model 12's, one is older than him, and one is a little older than me. They're still great shooters, though the older one doesn't get fired because it's a collector piece. But a good used Model 12 is gonna cost more than a new 870, even if it's not in great shape. You could probably get a used 870 for $100-$150 if you shop around, and lots of other brands for similar prices. If you're dead set on getting a new gun, I still recommend the 870, but if you're open to buying used, that opens up a world of possibilities. Mossberg, Remington, Winchester, Browning can all be found for great prices in pawn shops and used gun shops. Some Benellis, Ithacas (no longer in business), Charles Daly, and Berettas will be a bit more, but still within reach.

Pure eye candy :) I would love an AR.

Sent using telepathy.

Hit up a gun store and buy a stripped lower (100/$200 range avg) and then build'er one piece at a time as money allows. That's how all 3 of these came to be. Little here, little there,
Got 3 friends talked into doing it now....
