Shizuka Running Too Hot

Ok, so I start up my ‘O6 on Saturday and she runs a little hot and coolant is coming out of the overflow tank. She cools back down a couple minutes later and everything seems fine. I drive Shizuka down to the car wash tonight to get the road salt off and she overheats big time on the way home. I stopped and let her cool off, added a gallon of water and got her home. I don’t think there is a radiator leak and the hoses are relatively new. Maybe the thermostat or a water pump?

Thanks Zack and Terry. I saw both of those procedures on another thread after I wrote this. I will check both.

I drained the radiator, refilled with new antifreeze/water, and then burped the system by ramping the front end and squeezing the radiator hose while it idled with heater at full blast for about 20 minutes. I couldn’t believe how much air came out. She now seems to be running fine with no overheating. Thanks for your help, everyone! I really appreciate it.
