I have a Service Engine Soon light on - it came on shortly after pressure washing all the mud off from the engine compartment last weekend. I can't tell in the FSM guide which OS Sensor to focus on. I'm hoping maybe it's just damp from the cleaning & I'm ok replacing it if needed but wanted to make sure I buy and replace the right one. AutoZone pulled the code for me, and unfortunately it does not match up with any codes in the FSM manuals posted on the Nicoclub link. The other description from the AutoZone test says it's a Heated Oxygen Sensor- Bank 2 Sensor 1 (H02S21) and the 2nd shows - Failed Heated Oxygen Sensor- Bank 2 Sensor 1 (H02S21). Any suggestions? Thanks Kirk

Bank 2 refers to the side of the engine that the #1 Cyl is NOT on, the driver side in our case. Sensor 1 is the one in the exhaust manifold, before the cat; sensor 2 is after the cat.

I'd pull the connector apart (they all live on the bank 1 valve cover) and blow out the connection with compressed or canned air.

Thank You - I used the air comp to blow it out and my light was still on - so I disconnected the battery for 10-20 minutes and the light is out (for now anyways). Thanks for the quick response. It seems I may owe you a beer sometime soon.

I've gotten that after a deep water crossing. I pulled the connection apart and found moisture in it. I dried it out with compressed air and cleared the code. About a week later I got the same code so that time I used "wire drier" and it hasn't happened since.

Sound advice :) - I will get some of that if the light comes back on then...Thanks
