looking good man, that center console is sweet

Thanks man.. I'm looking for someone to chop it.. It is cool up that high, but it makes it hard to reach around to the passenger side.
I'm hoping to take about 5 inches off of it. I need to find a welder who can do it, or I might just build another center console

Hmm you kept that piece of metal up front on the bumper? The one that goes across the bottom and bolts into the horns. I pitch that sucker and put angle iron there...much more sturdy. But I like it!

That piece that mounts to the horns is rather sturdy, isn't that where you put your winch plate?

I also upgraded all of my hardware to 10.9 so I feel safe with those bolts..

I trashed it and used thick angle iron that I welded to the frame. Then but angle iron on the sides of the frame horns to re-enforce it.

Pick up the paycheck today, and then ordering some shocks.. Bilstein 5100's hopefully.

Also picking up a set of Hardbody Manual locking hubs next week. Picked those off of CL for super cheap.

According to the interwebz, they are indestructible, and they were designed by Warn, and they are much cheaper than replacement OEN

Well made these

into these

Which looks like this

Which I know is simple. But that is what I wanted.

Then I took out the plasti dip and had a little bit of fun, okay all I did was paint the gas hatch.. which everyone has done, but I like it. After the plasti dip dried, I took her out for a little play time in the play ground just behind my neighborhood

This is what I was flexing in.. It was a hole, about 2-2.5 ft deep. Front tires never left the ground and neither did the back. Over all I am impressed with the flex that the PML gave me. I plan on getting new shocks with the next paycheck (girlfriend kinda took over the last one..) and I should gain more flex with that, as that is my limiting factor in the back. I want to find more ways to flex up front, I know it isn't much, but I want MOAR. haha here is the hole I was playing in.

Is it me or does it look like that shackle bolt is bending?!

I am sure at some point it is going to flex a bit, as the body is leaning and the axle is leaning the opposite way. I wonder how bad it will be after my shocks come in and I install them. As right now my limiting flex factor is my shocks bottoming out.

Headliner is starting to sag.. only on the drivers side front corner.. That being said, I am looking for options on what I should replace the headliner with.

Now taking ideas and suggestions. I might have this done over christmas. I need to save my pennies in order to get this and some other projects rolling.

Well I know you said you wanted more flex out of the front didn't know if you had removed it. When I took my front one off it was a big difference.

Well, not in the manner that I had in mind, but I now have a Quest Alt. On our night run.. Tim and I went through a puddle, my open engine bay was dunked in the Coal Creek Slurpie. Nathan and I fixed it that morning, and caught up with our trail group.

Thanks Nathan.. I don't think I could have done it, with quickness or quality like we did it together.

Anytime, just glad we got in done in time to catch up with the rest of the group, I would go back and put a shorter screw on that ground though so it doesn't loosen up on you. Think i'm going to go find a quest alt to keep as a spare now, and some of those tiny screws for the ground haha.

At least we know the thread pattern.. It's the same as that EGR cover up top

Update of this weekend. I came home for fall break and had a bunch of fun modding the truck

Then I picked up some wheels off of CL

And I tried to put them on. This is what happens when you dont chock your wheels, and you lift it.. the truck leans forward.. and destroys your jack..

Anyway, this is what they will look like. I can't wait for them, including when I wrap them in some tires.
