Very clean build, always loved that blue color :kewl:

Any plans for future mods?
Thanks, no real big plans, just little things here and there. I'm prepping for a Mojave Road trip in April, so I'll be doing some things to get the truck ready, dust lights, camping stuff, etc. I'm potentially looking at adding just a little more lift in the near future and, of course, going to 285s when these tires wear out.

So it has been a while since I've posted in here, but it's time for an update...
Full Titan swap finished in just over 4 hours, thanks to the help of a few guys from SCCX. This included a M205 diff swap too. SPC UCAs, OEM LCAs, Tundra 5100 Bilsteins, and Toyota 4Runner springs.

Squatting just a little after the install, but it settled nicely.

How does that bumper feel? Can you lift the corner up with a high lift or would you have to be in he middle?

It's pretty solid, but I haven't lifted it from there yet. I think it would hold it, though.

Installed the CoverKing seat covers from the GB on TNX. They're not super tight but it would be hard make them tight like neoprene because the fabric is so stiff.

So, I guess I need to fix the photos in this thread too. Anyway, no huge updates since the Titan swap. I changed up to steelies and installed some console molle panels.

It's been a long time since visiting here and I figured I would make an update...

Titan swap is still going strong. I have since switched out the Tundra Bilsteins for 2.5 Radflos from Nisstec. I also got rid of the steelies and put some KO2s on my OE Pro4X wheels. The most recent change was swapping out the the OME leaf springs for some used Deavers sourced here locally and adding Radflos in the back. Here are some updated pics.

Can you post up a couple pictures of the console molle panels? Kind of curious to see what you got going for those

Damn that's a beautiful truck.
Thanks! It's come a long way, through some blood and a lot of sweat.

I don't have personal pictures, but this is one from the fabricator. My driver side panel has two pouches and a knife on it. One pouch is a double magazine holder and the other holds my flashlight. The panel on the passenger side only holds a knife, but sometimes my wife will put her phone in there.

On a different note, I got a little muddy in Big Bear two weekends ago. Not normally my thing, but it was fun.

After a little black ice incident last week, where I ended up with a smashed driver side headlight, I thought it would be time to install black bezel headlights. They look much better, in my opinion. 79342203_10215079625855759_8864265088182255616_n.jpg 79890535_10215079690897385_8653473857140686848_o.jpg 80390941_10215079626095765_8193057765350965248_n.jpg

What brand did you go with? I got some from fleBay and the pattern on them is crap.
Here's the link for them. The brand says "AM Autoparts" but I think it was Eagle Eyes or something like that on the box. The pattern isn't horrible, but definitely not as good as OEM. I also need to aim them up a little. I aligned them to where I had the originals (marked with tape on the garage door) and the cutoff is now a little low. I think this has a little to do with the black bezel not reflecting quite as much as the chrome.

Well, I decided to try out a mod that's fairly new to the X and Frontier, but has been around for several years in the Z, Skyline, and S-chassis scene; Audi R8 coils. I had to spend some $$$ for the adapters but the coils were $21 each from Rock Auto. This mod has supposedly dyno'd with a 9HP improvement. People also report slightly improved MPG. We'll see how it goes, though.

Those are really cool looking. I noticed they don't utilize the coilpack bolts like the factory packs, do you think that matters at all? I kind think it doesn't, even with the factory pack the fit is pretty tight.

They actually fit in significantly tighter that the OE coils (that's what she said, ha). On the initial push, you can feel the seal grabbing pretty well, then you have to give them a final push and you can physically feel them pop into place. This is both the seal moving into place and the final seat on the plug.

What exactly is a "paint correction"? Looks amazing. I don't think I have a clean part in my clear coat anymore with all the pinstripes. Maybe the back hatch behind the spare...

I think it's just basically an aggressive buffing out, to try to get out the pinstripes and contamination.

It's been a hot second since I've been on the forum. Just a couple minor updates on the X, as it's pretty much sitting where I want it. I added some Diode Dynamics pods in the roof boobs with an adapter from a member on TheNewX and threw on some MT2s last summer. That's about it. Hopefully, I can be a little more active on this forum again.

Which beam pattern did you go with? I’m struggling now to figure out a way to block light coming down from my roof lights onto the windshield. Same deal with driving and with fog. It’s just the ambient light, but would still like to block it.

Forget the roof then. Besides that, unless you are the lead dog in the pack, the roof lights are useless. A good bumper light, and ditch lights are really all you need.

Welcome back, I did the same for a bit. Just not a ton going on with the X and no time to post when I finally did do something. How are you liking the DD lights?
I'm liking them a lot, much better than the stock lenses with aftermarket LEDs.

I went with the driving pattern. They are focused a lot more than the stock lights, but still have a little bit of a spread on them. They shine well past the roof and hood, so there's pretty much zero glare with these. As opposed to the stock lights that have a ton of glare.

Here's a shot with all of my lights on, including roof lights. You can see how they clear the hood pretty easily.

I was referring to dust. If you're following anyone in a dusty situation, it has been my experience that roof lights (Boobs or otherwise) are useless, the ditch lights and bumper lights are fine.

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I definitely experienced that when I lived in Cali.
