I haven't done it in the X. But I've done it in my Mustang a few times. Let me tell you. It sucks. No replacement carpet comes with holes in it. For anything. You have to lay it in there and cut all your own access for EVERYTHING. That means if you ufck up, nothing after that fits right.

I've done it twice. And I will never do it again. The next vehicle that needs carpet is getting professionally done.

I will take that under advisement! But I gotta do something - the previous owner(s) apparently were never informed of the invention of FLOORMATS, and the poor thing also has a fairly disagreeable odor about it (one of the reasons for replacing all the seating, as well).

I had the same experience but with the side to side trimming. Measure twice, cut once... oops!

I did the rubber flooring from Rock Auto (ACC 17747340 Vinyl) i just ordered the front kit for 116.00+ tax / shipping. The rear cargo space is pretty much gutted now and bed lined. It comes very over sized and has the sound deadening. It was molded to fit the seat brackets but i did have to cut the center console section which was nerve racking. best way to go with an SUV. I think it had other colors but i did black.
