Removable Roof Light Wiring

I finally wired up my roof lights with the removable clip I had found at work one day. Its used for stepping masts of sailboats in the winter.

Picked up the switch and checked its rating. 16 amps per pin and if my electrical math is correct each hella 500 takes about 4 amps. Two lights on each pin comes to 8 amps, half the rated amperage.

Glove box Blue Sea fuse panel for switches and other items. just need to clean it up a bit.

Wires run from console switches and fuse panel up A-frame under headliner.

My new best tool in the tool box

Drilling into roof under wind deflector. I suggest you place something strong like plastic sheeting between the headliner and roof for that just in case issue.

Here's the link from page one. http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/25079--waterproof-plug-connector.html

I got it for associate pricing but I know my company sells it for higher than others. Just look through google.

Aqua signal waterproof horizontal connector
Pn: 80100-7

It's been on a week and even with rain no leaks.
I put a gromet in where the wires come up to the plug, that with silicone and it's rubber gasket keeps the water out very well.

On the removable side, you don't even have to worry about wrapping the wires. The way the end works is you screw it down around the wire compressing the grommet and form fitting around the wires. Perfect seal. With where I put it, its exposed to very little rain water overall.

Overall very happy with the install.

Old post by, I believe was an old member. If that's Curt I'm pretty sure he doesn't have that truck any more. I haven't seen him on the boards in a long time.
Anyways, the bar looks like it could be a B&M 1st Gen Light Bar. I'm not sure the company is still active (the web sight is gone) or if the guy is still making them. I got one years ago (that I have yet to install) through Dave (the guy that started this board and now hosts the Nissan Podcast). You could try getting in touch with him or Google B&M Light Bars; there's an inactive company facebook page you might get a response from.
Good luck.
