Red Gauge Lights

I have been wanting to update my interior lighting in my car for a while now and figured i'd do everything while I was at it. But im unsure if I should use colored lights on the gauge cluster. My car has a red Theme already and I think red back lights on the gauges would look cool but I also don't want it to look to dark. what do you guys think? Red in cluster too dark, or bad ass edition to the car?

Red LEDs. It's completely doable. You'll have to disassemble the cluster, sand the blue tint off the back of the plastic gauge face. And install some quality 360° LEDs.

May I suggest vleds.com.

Sweet thanks man! now I noticed that the T5 bulbs on there website are not very tall. I just has my AC/heat controls apart yesterday to look and see what lights they take and they were about 1" tall to stick out from the little plastic holder. Is this necessary or will it still give off enough ambient light? Thanks

The climate controls are funky for sure. You'll have to do something custom-ish to change those out.

I have factory red lights on my rally car cluster ('88 BMW) and I love it. So much easier on the eyes too.

not to double back on previous posts but i visited Vleds website and found these in particular:

will these fit for the dash lights? I seen your post from a while back doing the actual install and just wanted to kind of clarify.

thanks for the help by the way!
