Rear suspension

Well as most of you know what my X has done her I have ran into a major problem in the rear end. I went to move the X today to do some work on the rear end to fix the rear diff angle and found out that I have two cracked leaf springs one each side on the top spring. So I'm guessing the stock setup doesn't like the spring over axle set up. So I'm at cross road and need some help on figuring out were to go next.
1st option is to get custom leaf packs from Deaver to replace the stock set.
2nd option is to go to a 4 link set up.

Running links is a lot of work, we have a bunch of stuff in the way of the links that you have to contend with. Truthfully, leafs do a really good job when done rite. A spring over puts a lot of additional stress on the springs.

Yea I leaning towards redoing the leaf packs. Going to easier and cheaper. Maybe once I turn my X into an off road use only rig and trailer it out then I'll go to a 4 link rear. But that is when I have to replace the engine so I got some time lol

Do you have any sort of anti-wrap bar on the rear? Spring over setups see much more axle wrap and it can easily bend or crack springs. Personally I think 4 links are fun and can be a great setup but like granites said, properly setup leafs do a hell of a job. For simplicity sake I say go with leafs and find out what is putting so much stress on them and fix that.

Well I don't have any anti wrap for the rear so I'll be doing that for sure. I think some of the added stress is the drive shaft angle. I hear a good clunk sound from the rear so once I figure out everything with the anti wrap and drive shaft angle I'll see how that all helps. I think we a new leaf pack for the added weight of 35 hanging off the back will help it too.
