Whats the trick to getting the interior rear/side plastic panels off without breaking the clips?

Those things are a serious pain to get out. For one be very careful. Next I found it easiest to remove the back seats to bottom and unbolt the side seat belts. Then you can remove the the rear cargo floor cover thing then that piece by the rear hatch and then that underneath storage bin. That will clear up all the areas that you will need to get them off. There is one bolt 10 mm I think that is in that area were you can put something like the sun shade thingy. And then you have the clips at the rear that has those half circle holding it in. If you have a long flat tip screw drive that will help. But just take your time and don't force it.

I think is it. If I missed something I'm sure someone else will chime in. Since I'm doing this from memory lol. Good luck

Are you talking about where the hatch is or where the seat belts are? I think I just gently applied pressure and removed from the top down near the hatch. The seatbelt area, I gave up and have never attempted it again.

That's why I figure out how take them out. I had all my wires for my subs and amps going behind them. Then took it off when I took them out. They are such a pain but it's worth depending on what you are doing.

Take a look at my build page and what I did for my rear storage may work for mounting your power tank

Those side panels are big pieces and you do need to remove much of the remaining interior to get them off cleanly. There are some bolts near the seat latch holding the uppper part of the seat steady. I believe those need to be removed. Since the plastic is so big, I found that getting started is the hardest part. I will generally start at the hatch and work my way forward, one attachment point at a time. Once I have one or two disconnected, I can usually reach in and gain better access to where the panel is attached and get it out without damaging the fasteners. Also, from memory I think you can get those white plastic flanged rivet attachment thingys at Autozone if you break one.

I did mine pretty easily... I just took my time and had a lot of patience. I popped the pass side off when I attempted to bump out a dent. I had to take out all the plastic in the cargo area just to get to the bottom screws to get the main piece off. Was a bit of pain but wasn't too bad.
