Does anyone like their rear mud guards? One of mine got damaged in the last big snow storm when I got a little too playful. Seems like they are just in the way. think I'm gonna scap em both.

Do you mean the hardish flappy things behind the wheels that soccer moms have to keep water from splashing up on the step rails, and rear bumperetts???

I used to keep mine on. I liked them and I thought they would do more good being on. But my tires consistently scraped against them and it was quite embarrassing when I went on my first run with a couple X members lol even though they were good sports about it. I don't know if you have the same problem or not, but it's up to you. I won't keep them on if I ever get a new X.

I agree with Roadwarrior.

It makes your truck a little but more aggressive.
Also looks slightly lifted. One of the best and most common mods.

I had Cooper STTs on for a few year and never realized how much it changed the look of my X until I took rails and flaps off.

It is unanimous. They are the ugly children. Leave them behind.

Sent through an exorcism and salt flavored shotgun shells.

Nismofire has the greatest set of stubby screwdrivers. Can't remember where she said she got them from though.......... They are small and perfect to remove the rear guards.......

If I haven't removed my rear ones by Windmill Run, maybe one of you guys can help me take that off. I'm gonna take the front ones off as they don't look hard to pull off as the rear ones that I've heard so much about.

I went off roading with a couple forum members a little while ago (my first time with a group) and omfg it was embarrassing. Every time I sharply turned, the tires were hitting the mud flaps. Sounded terrible! Took me a while to get them off because the screw was loose and each time I turned one end, the other part would turn. So I just took it to the dealership and they removed them.

Removed mine.

Turn your front wheels and you'll have plenty of room to access the front screws.

For rear, I used the screw driver from a multi tool kit with foldable pliers, they worked like a charm esp. with the pushpin.
