Rear cargo boxes / drawers.

I know plenty of you have had made cargo boxes or drawers for your x's my question is. Do any of you have plans on them measurements and pictures. I've noticed quite a lot lately that my X just looks like a pig sty since i basically live out of it and would be nice to be able to clean it up. if you guys could post pics of drawers/boxes with measurements/ plans would be greatly appreciated.

It's taken me a bit longer than I had wanted, but the design doc is almost complete. Just have to add measurements and we are done. Should be published by this weekend :) I'll post links to the PDF when finished.

That chuck box is nice. I may have to build something like that once I get my cargo rack in and see what kind of room I have.

HEADS UP ALERT for anyone planning to build rear storage units!!! NOW is the time to go to HD and get PINE CABINET GRADE 4x8's. HD web sites have them listed for $24.97 a sheet for instore prices. The store prices are $35.97. I spoke to the store manager and he said that he had to honor the price because it did say instore and instock!!!

I started mine with 3/4" plywood but when I saw this price yesterday I went to my local HD expecting to see $24.97. When the other price was on it I found the store manager and raised a stink after the lumber guy told me the online service has been screwing up for 3 weeks. Being the quick thinker that I am I told the manager it wasn't my fault that after 3 weeks the problem hadn't been fixed. The web site said instock instore and what he was doing was bait and switch. He agreed and I saved $24.

If you would like a pro finish. Www.partsexpress.com sells unbacked speaker enclosure carpet. It allows you to stretch the carpet over curves and box corners for a seamless look. Plus you can buy the plastic box corner pieces which protect the corners of your box. With normal backed carpet you have to cut every curve as there is no flex.

I cut the base and 2 side panels the other day. Then the weather turned cold again and overtime at work started... one of these days I'll get back to it. Gotta order the carpet and some nice stuff from Partsexpress.
