I was looking at them vs SDHQ a pillar mounts for my Silverado. Heard both good things about both companies. Despised to go with the SDHQ.

@RM975 ever get any pics? What light pattern did you go with for the S2?

Just ordered the Rago mounts myself, and will probably go with S2 pods there as well.

Nope, not installed yet. Sitting in a box next to my gears, waiting for me to get to it. I can't remember which pattern I bought, I'd have to look. I got my S8 installed on my front hoop, it's great.

Looks good! I had problems with the Baja S2s and ended up returning them all. I went with Diode Dynamics C2 instead with a yellow combo (driving/flood) pattern. Worked out perfectly.
Very good. I am curious, what went wrong with the BD's?

The threads that were cut into the light housing were off, or the thread locker they had on the bolts was the wrong stuff, or both. My bolts wouldn’t go in all the way then they were seized and it was a multi day ordeal to get them back out.

Baja support over the phone thinks the threads may have been cut incorrectly, but since I bought them from a seller on Amazon, I asked if they were an authorized dealer. Baja wouldn’t answer - they just said send in the lights. Then over a week I hadn’t received the form, called back and asked again about what companies were authorized resellers and they were again evasive and basically said they didn’t have a list of them, but they’d take a look at the lights. 24 hours later I hadn’t received the form again so I called Amazon and told them everything including that the lights were now damaged, and they said no problem and had me send them back for a full refund.

I doubt stripped threads happen often, but I don’t like the design of threads being cut into the housing (vs a drop in nut or long bolt through the whole housing) because of my exact scenario. Especially here where road salt and chemicals are used. Then the company simultaneously being weird and not communicating was something I didn’t want to deal with.
