Thanks Man! Yeah, I have a feeling I will waste a few CVs soon. I think the open front diff is the only thing saving me right now ha. I’ll keep this up to date though

Made some progress on my bumper, finally it doesn’t look like a frog. Next is to paint it.

First step to getting 35” tires to fit without a body lift: cut and cut even more.

Thanks man! It’s been slow for awhile but now that my S4 build is done, it’s back to the Xterra. Hoping to have a D60 under this thing soon enough so I run with rad builds like yours!

I outsourced my rear quarter work to a good friend of mine.

Now, I just need to start planning my D60 front axle swap, which will include moving the axle forward just a bit.

35” fitted, Calmini steering on, fenders cut. Now just slowly collecting parts for the SAS. Dana 60 front for now, 14 bolt rear later.

You seem to be taking the whole low CG thing seriously, I don't know if I have ever seen that much chop up front on an X that isn't SAS's.

haha. Well, I hate body lifts and love big tires. Also, I’m prepping it for the SAS which is coming sooner than expected.

Speaking of the rear axle. You mentioned a 14 bolt. Unless it's for changing the lug pattern, I wouldn't. The H233b is a beast of an axle. I'd see no reason to swap it unless you're going taller than 5.13s or want to change the lug pattern.

Well @Prime , I am at a turning point with this truck. Either big and wide D60/14B or grab a diamond axle and use my spare third member with ARB. I know the H233B is a very stout axle and will handle whatever I want to do with this truck but I am limited with front axles. I will blow up a D44 with my intended use. The plan is 37'' and double cases.

I didn't think about track width. If you need to go wider, then the 233 is a bad choice because of the limitations. Ford 9? I get it that the corporate 14-bolt has lots of options. But it's not as strioas a 3rd member.

The 9” seems to be pretty good, but the 14 bolt will take everting you can toss at it without having to upgrade anything. Maybe I’ve been hanging out with truggy and SAS guys on 40”s too long But I really want to make this unstoppable in the rocks. I’m sure the first variant won’t be as wild, but we will see

After many failed attempts at getting a Calmini SAS kit I decided to just reach out to Jared of Bonney Motorsports, A wonderful guy who just happens to live near by. I've been quietly gathering solid axle parts during this lock down and should be cutting IFS off and selling the good bits soon.

-Waggy D44 with 44044 2'' lift springs, Locker, 4.88 gears to match my 4.9 rear, upgraded steering and some other bits.

No more of that silly ifs stuff! Make sure you have a sawzall, I just used a grinder when I did my swap recently and it was an absolute pain. Good luck!
