I enjoy going up in deep snow in the mountains and my stock bumper is just acting like a giant snow plow I really don’t have the time to fabricate a bumper at the moment so I was considering trimming my factory bumper But before I do it was just wondering if the pro 4X bumper is something that is desirable to other people or just another chunk of plastic? If so I would rather sell it off to someone that would need it and just put making a bumper ahead of some other projects

There are a few people I've seen that have trimmed the factory bumper and made it look good. Of course I can't find pics now.

I figured it was just like the normal bumper but with fog lights ... let the cutting begin

Yeah. They all have fog light holes, some are just plugged. Same bumper across all 2nd gen trims

I did some tape mock ups of different lines so I can drive around for a day or so with it to see what I like the best . Honestly none of them look right because of the fog light holes but we will see .

I'd expect a decent MPG decrease because you just eliminated what little aerodynamics the front of this thing has. The most significant thing I did to kill MPG is a tie between installing 285's and installing the P&P bumper, which has a profile similar to what you did.

I already took a bit of a hit with the 35s so I am expecting a little bit more of a drop but I didn’t buy this thing for its miles per gallon

Exactly, I didn't either. "Smiles per gallon." :)

That's about what I'm getting too. Hopefully the 3.69s will help a little bit though...

This may sound strange but I swear my tire noise has gotten quieter after trimming the bumper . I thought it was just me but the fiancé noticed it to .

Maybe less surface area for the tire noise to echo off of?
