WhaT lights are those ?
JW Speaker 8415. High and low beam headlights. Practically a perfect match for the stock roof lights.
These are some sexy boobs.
Let there be light.
Wow. Those are nice! Good job.
Sweet set of bewbs there
Expensive boobs job. Looks pretty clean from the pics. Nice!
Got those lights mounted on the rig yet? How's the glare off the hood/windshield? Switching mine out to LEDs did wonders for getting the light out past the hood.
Hell no. I haven't had time. I need to get my wiring finished inside the truck so that my switches have power, then I can mount them up.
A little late night wiring session.
Connecting my fuse panel to my overhead switches. Might actually have some lights for ECXC next week.
Two skids mounted. Found a slight clearance issue. I'll get the angle grinder and cut the plate back this weekend.
I did break a bolt on the gas tank skid. So I had to drill it out, tapped it to a 10mmX1.25 and used a bolt I had in the garage.
ooo hes almost ready for ECXC
ECXC prep continues.
Finished wiring the rest of my roof lights. The alley lights are now functional.
You still don't have bigger tires? Lol
Still don't have bigger tires money.
When's that blue with pink sparkles vinyl wrap coming in??
Too clean. Needs Rausch gouging.
As soon as you send it to me.
That's the plan.
Dunno why it wouldn't work the other night. Replaced the fuse, and she works great!
A little zip tie work to clean everything up
But you don't come to my build thread to see pictures of lights that are off.
With alley lights
And looking back at the truck
Updated mod list in OP.
Updated daytime shot.
Came out great! Love the LEDs in the roof boobs. Also, is that a snorkel hole I see in the last pic?
Was gonna say, "not blue for long".
Yeah. Had the snorkel since day 1, but I need to get the wrap done before putting it on.
Lol, just like mine used to be red
Very nice Jay.
I don't think that is supposed to look like this.
So that's bent. Who's got some stock leaf packs sitting around?
I'm half tempted to take my bench vise out there and clamp it on to the spring.
Tis time for alcans!
Bitch, I don't have money for tires. What makes you think I've got money for alcans?
Your benchvise is probably cast, brittle tool steel and those springs are ductile, hot worked steel. I'd have my doubts about this method.
Edit: unless you heat it a lot. It'll be comparable to a 5160 steel.
And here comes the engineer to rain on my parade. Haha
I'm trying to save you from breaking your vise as I have done at least twice in the past 5 years on 4130 chromolly and 1040.
Update on the alignment front.
Got the lower control arms swapped last night.
That was an ordeal. Used my connections to get into the shop at the dealership after hours. Got the truck on the lift and went at it with the Sawzall. It took three. ufcking. Hours. To get the bolts cut. Reassembly took 15 minutes.
Took it in for an alignment this morning. They can't align it because the jam nuts on the inner tie rods are rust welded in place. So they can't set the toe. Had to order new nuts and attempt to cut the old ones off without damaging the tie rods. ufcked.
Also, obligatory :
Damn that sucks! When I damaged mine, I was fully expecting to have to cut mine out but shockingly, I didn't have to
