Little more range from the lights and when seting up camp in thee dark they realy help lighting up yur work area. We have them on wambulances around here and the fire engines to help read house numbers and to light up a area so we can see what or who we are working on.

Doing some more roof rack work. I plan to have high mounted reverse lights somewhere undecided. So before the passenger side rail goes back on the truck, I had to wire it.

A waterproof disconnect, cable gland, and bam! Reverse light wiring.

Did the final paint touch up on tis rail just now. As soon as that's dry it'll be offered up to the truck and I'll do the alley lights for that side.

And here's my little stub put for the high mount reverse lights.

I stuck an extra plug into it for the time being so the connectors don't corrode on me.

Also test fitted the roof boobs and marked my drill locations for the roof penetration. So that's next. Once I drill the holes in the roof, I can reassemble my headliner and we'll be off to the races.

Any reason for the high mounted reverce over bumper lights? I got some nice flush mount flood lights that are going in the rear bumper on my truck.

The only particular reason is that I had them on the last truck in combination with the ones in the bumper corners. And I liked that setup. So I'm doing it again.

The factory roof lights have what I think is an overheat sensor. So if the lights get too hot, it'll kill em. We'll the LEDs won't get that hot. And wouldn't you know it, the plug for the sensor is a PERFECT fit to the new lights!

That could be the magnetic cover sensor. Won't let the lights come on with the covers on

Where did you get those lights from? Also, are they just bolt on or did you have to do any fab work to get them to fit?
Bought them from headlightrevolution.com

There's a bit of work to get them in. When I take it apart the next time I'll take pictures.

I need to get the other one ordered. I only ordered one in case they didn't fit. As they're not cheap. But now that I know it works, time to get the 2nd one on the way. Then paint the cowl and final assembly.
