Test Drive
2000 3.3
I recently replaced timing belt, WP, cam & crank seals with no issues.
When first starting.. turning key..slight hesitation while cranking, but starts and idles as normal.
On test drive.. HUGE power loss.
Acceleration felt as though brakes were being applied..
First thought.. "Could cam timing be off a tooth?"
A co-worker suggested checking ignition with a timing light.
I stated distributor bolt was never loosened during belt change.
To my surprise.. timing light flashed @ 0°.. when adjusted to 15° btdc.
The X now drives as normal..
How could this have happened???
