So we don't clutter up the GPWS with our shenanigans, and to make it easier to find info, let's start this up.

I'm level 17, and in New Mexico there doesn't seem to be much of anything besides fire and ground pokemon. Occasionally I'll hatch something rare, but no often.

Here is the top of my lineup:

What you catch is really area dependent. Plus I think all lures suck. Whether it's incense or pokestop lures.

I got my Lapras and Snorlax from 10k eggs luckily.

You know about the Eevee naming trick to get what you want right? So that way it isn't random when you evolve one?

Pre-evolution you change their name to the following to get what you want: Sparky = Jolteon, Rainer = Vaporeon, Pyro = Flareon. My wife and I have done this trick every time and it always works.

Not really - its more level and how many other people in your area are playing. That's why all the big cities have all the pokemon. Richmond city proper, i'm seeing all sorts of stuff. However, at home in the burbs, i get rats and birds.

This. Albuquerque isn't big by any means, but downtown I see way more variety than I do out where I live. In a few weeks, we're going to just outside of Detroit for a week, so I'll be curious to see what we catch up there.

lures do all suck, big time. They set them off at work all the time and all I can find are pidgeys and ratattas.

How you people have so much time to play. I work for the parks deparment and work outside all day and still don't get to do that much. Hardly level 11 after starting when the game came out.

Lucky eggs. Save all the stupid pidgeys and rattatas and level up the lot of them for all double XP.

Okay, I'll come clean. My co-worker uses a cracked version of the game, and it's the version where you can walk anywhere you you want by tapping and holding the screen. I tried my account on his phone, and it's game changing. You level so damn quick because you can walk across your damn city without leaving the comforts of your house or wifi.

Is it cheap? Sure. I applaud people who got to a high level legitimately. But I have a small data plan, and can't walk to some of the hot spots of my city where there is a poke stop on every corner. He showed me how to get the hacked version, and I'm really thinking about it

So this was the video he watched and subsequently shared with me - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjcUbyTvslA

It stinks, because it does require a Mac computer and an iPhone. However, there are other videos showing virtually the same hack on Android phones, but obviously I never bothered to research those. He has been using this hack for the more than a week and he hasn't seen any negative action from it.

Overall combined stats, sure, Vaporeon is the strongest. Personally, I'd rather have a balanced top team for battles than 3 of the same ones. That seems really silly and useless to me. A strong enough plant pokemon, even a few hundred CP lower, can wreck a strong water type. Same applies for anything generally. My Wartotle smashed an Arcanine that was double it's CP

Lol lol. My favorite local park to go, which used to have an abundance of Squirtle, now has an abundance of Charmander. I caught enough to evolve a Charmeleon, but of course it's 100 to get a Charizard

There was new update last night for both all the hacked versions and the actual version. It was supposed to fix a bunch of issues. That, or you're playing in a Faraday cage
