My first look at the Xterra!
My Xterra now. Taken in the Guadalupe Mountains of New Mexico.
The local Nissan dealer got this truck for me (shipped in from Vermont, I am the third owner).
Over the last year and a half I have done the following mods (no particular order):
Exterior:
265/75/16 KO tires
Hefty Aluminum skids
Shrockworks rear tire carrier
Shrockworks front bumper
Warn 8000# winch
Shrockworks sliders
Heavy duty General springs with Bilstein shocks (rear)(net .5 in lift)
Nisstec 650# coils and shocks (front)(net .75 in lift)
Interior:
Raingler rear cargo net
Dash camera
Modifications to come (starting next week, I finally got all the parts needed):
M-226 rear diff (3.36 ratio) with locker, ARB cover, new driveshaft
M-205 front diff, Pathfinder half shafts
Way in the future modifications to come:
Larger tires (I've got to wear the current tires out first)
Secondary battery
I have spent a bucket of money on this thing, I blame all of you for giving all these crazy ideas! The truck is now way more capable off road than its driver is, but I'm working on honing my skills so that I can be worthy of it! I am fortunate to have a very understanding wife...
The X is an incredible off-road vehicle that fills all of my needs. I'd like to find some folks in New Mexico/West Texas to hook up with, since all the guys I wheeled with in my youth are out of it.
