Is there anyone in the club that is planning to the event next year? I don't know if I would be able to, but you never know this early in advance. I am wondering what mods you guys are going to be bringing to the table to make the trip work.

If I have a job by then and time to do it, then yes I would like to go to Gone in 2013.

i mapped moab to the national xterra meet, and for me they are about equal. Either way I have no clue what would be "needed" to get through the trails of either events.

nXm has something for everyone.. Johann has seen coal creek and the first nXm. It's a lot like the gone event.. If you want to test the limits.. It's there ;)

Yep, both event locations have something for everyone.

Coal Creek (loc. for nXm 2) is really sweet with over 70k acres in 4 counties.

Gone is also sweet from everything I have heard.

I have never been to Coal Creek, but it sounds like it would be a fit for bone stock to extremely modded rigs.

Moab is similar to this, though bone stock may not be the best idea for some trails. If you stick to easy ones then I think you'd be fine. Most trails before you sign up say what the general requirements are (most above easy require sliders at the very min). And all trails req 4x4 and a functional CB. I am def going back next year!

I too plan to attend gone again next year. For me this year it was a
Personal requirement for sliders. Now that I've been I must have full skids when I go back. I pushed my self and took it easy and had a great time. Everyone there was super friendly, didnt matter how modded your rig was or anything, from stock to holy $@@7 something for everyone. and my xn roommates were pretty awesome as well. As long as I can get the time off I'm going.

Ditto! And next year me and Juneau are going to bond...

Mods I'm contemplating for next year:
Corbeau seats - my originals are pretty beat to poop
    Headers

GONE is an event every Nissan truck owner should experience at least once in their lives. Seriously.

Negative, I've missed the past two years due to work. Sucks.

I'm from the Houston area -- caravans are fun.

Albuquerque is on the way, the long way. I've always stopped at Creek's house on the way up to Utah on Saturday and do the caravan thing from there. Last time I went, there was probably a mile's worth of modded Nissans headed down I70. It was one hell of a site to see!

This doesn't do it justice as I was towards the front of the pack.

This is just the beginning of the convoy at the base of Floyd Hill, will Creek lives. More were showing up or pulling into the gas station up the road.
