My Son in law's 04X is almost ready for inspection and registration. It was however, still throwing a P0745 code (trans pressure control solenoid). So I did a bit of digging and found there's a dropping resistor mounted on the passenger's side inner fender right behind the battery. I removed it and checked it and it was open. Further digging through various sources indicated it's a 12 ohm power resistor. Given the size, it's a 20Watt resistor mounted in a housing with connector that sells for about 60 bucks. 60 bucks is an insanely ridiculous price for a 20 watt resistor. Amazon had a pack of 10 of them for 8 bucks. 1 resistor, 2 pieces of heat shrink tubing, a couple of dabs of solder and about 15 minutes and everything is replaced and the code is no more.
If you have a Nissan and it throws that code, check the resistor first instead of having to tear apart the transmission to find the solenoid is fine.

Driving and the code came back. Noticed that 1st-2nd shifting was kinda rough. Did some more digging, including dropping the pan. Solenoid tested fine and activated with 12V applied. What I DID find with the battery out was this fun time:

That was shorting the 12V signal from the TCM to the solenoid. Those exposed wires rubbed right against the inner fender wall.
replaced the resistor again, cut the wires short and added my own ends and heatshrinked the wiring again and replaced the insulation with wireloom for more protection.
