Oxygen Sensor reoccurring problems

Hi, I replaced replace all 4 oxygen sensors on my 2002 Nissan Xterra 3.3 automatic 4x4 with 208,000 miles. I replaced the upstream sensors yesterday after the vehicle started running sluggish and the with the following codes. P0132, P0152 and P0158. That seemed to fix the problem for a few hours but now the symptoms and codes are back. The vehicle runs sluggish at low speeds. I replaced the downstream sensors about a month ago, and ended up replacing the passenger's side downstream twice. There is some kind of issue that is causing these oxygen sensors to go bad or get a bad reading.
Thanks

I see your diagram, thank you. I just double checked to make sure. Sensor 1's have different size connector than sensor 2s. I don't think that Bank 1 sensor 1 would even reach Bank 2 sensor 1. I just drove it and it ran normal. It only gets sluggish after a while of driving. Bank 1/sensor 2 is the only one that didn't throw a code. Maybe the converter is clogged or I have an exhaust leak?

Yeah, sensor 1 and sensor 2 you can only get backwards if they're in the wrong hole in the exhaust -- 3 pin vs 4 pin. It's more a question if you have bank 1 and 2 flipped. Other question is if you replaced the sensors with an NTK or Bosch sensor, or whatever the parts store has on special? I ask because some systems are more picky about the sensor than others. Other things to check would be the grounds on top of the intake, and the little jumpers from the body to the exhaust on each side.

So, you might have a point. I have 2-3 different brands of sensors installed, but not on purpose. I purchased and installed both sensor 1s because of a code that popped up. The vehicle still ran fine. But, after a few weeks a code popped up for the one of the sensors ones so I replaced it with a different brand. I have 2 different brands on sensor 1s.

Fast forward a few months and I get codes for sensor 2s in both banks, and the vehicle would be sluggish in take off after driving for some time. I ordered a 4 set of "A Premium" brand off an online store. I installed those in sensor 2s and the car ran fine for 24 hours. After 24 hours, same codes and same performance, sluggish on take off after driving for a while. Both sensor twos are the same brand but different than sensor 1s.

So I do have different brands and 3/4 are not name brands. I can either install all of the same with generic or Bosch, but I am not sure if I would be wasting my money trying to find out if that is the problem.

I really appreciate the help. I have never had to chase so many problems on a vehicle and it's getting overwhelming.
thank you very much.

I should have replaced all 4 sensors at the same time with a Bosch or similar and I then I now would know if its the sensors or something else. I guess Im getting tired of spending $. I could have a Ferrari by now. lol

Maybe, but you can never really own a Ferrari. Nissan can't lock you out of fixing a truck this old.
